I watched the series dubbed and the OVA subbed, and the Japanese VAs’ English just pissed me off. Oh, and there was that one boring ass speech that the Major gave. Yea, very overrated.
ID is fucking awesome. It has REAL characters, not boring ones.
Hellsing Ultimate follows the Manga Plot which is why people like it, well aside from it pretty as fuck.
Zoo if you liked Bebop you should look into Samurai Champloo and that directors newest show Sakamichi no Apollon (Kids on a Slope). It’s running this season, it’s about HS kids forming a Jazz Band. Yokko Kanno is on music duty again for this so the Jazz will be sublime.
The only thing good that came from the anime was the soundtrack.
Samurai Champloo was dope, a perfect fusion of music, atmosphere, action, and tone, although the ending was slightly disappointing. An anime NOT about fighting? yeah I’ll check it out thanks.
After Hellsing/ultimate I think Lain is next too bad it’s not on instant at least East of Eden since is. Scrolling through netflix Golgo13 guy looks familar I remember Will Gotti rocking that av for years.

About FMP…yeah, as said earlier. As long as stuff like the K-ON movie is banking them around $23.7 million in theaters, then chances seem pretty slim.
T&A easily has a market demographic; so this doesn’t surprise one bit.

They’re characters who question their skills, have their worlds shaken when those skills don’t live up to their own expectations, have worries and real like problems. It’s fiction so there is an amount of give an take but as far as Anime and Manga go they are incredibly grounded.

Initial D is pretty baller. Don’t even need to be into cars to enjoy it, hell chances are the show itself would probably sucker you into car racing and drifting. That Eurobeat soundtrack is god damn hype inducing as well, even if half of what they spout don’t make any sense lol
Only disappointment is that once the show hit 4th Stage/Project D, the authour decided to just throw everything on the back burner and push race after race, after race, after race. You could tell he was running out of ideas for the battles too since some of the ways that the latter ones ended were starting to tread on downright dumb/ridiculous. But damn did that cel-shading for the cars look pretty as hell though. I wonder how far they’re able to take it for 5th stage.
