I just started Gintama, on ep 14 or so, while I am enjoying the humor…something does pop off right, eventually lol? Starts off very slowly, almost had me doubting why the series seems to be revered so much, but i’ll stick it out.
Also I just recently watch High School of the Dead, thought it was pretty good, not sure *all *that ecchi was necessary tho lol.
What do you mean, as in when does the story come in to play? Well, the way Gintama is set up is that each arc consists of a few episodes. The arcs are constantly changing in story and characters so a lot of it is basically “The Daily Life of Gintoki and His Friends, Oh and Have Some Main Story Once in a While”. The are arcs that are tied to the “main” storyline though, and these are usually very, very good. Some non-main story arcs end up tying up with the main story plots (characters coming to help, etc). The thing is though, that the non-story arcs are just as good, if not better a lot of the time. The show really is about the humor IMO.

Ok, that doesnt sound too bad, I do enjoy the humor. I think I can live with that, I didnt know much about it before I started watching and assumed, given the length of the series, it would be one of those dramatic action series especially with how they keep bringing up Gintoki’s apparent prowess as a samurai. We’ll see.
haha, fair enough, im not complaining. Looking forward to second series! Has the same guy done anything else worth looking into?

Guilty Crown seems to have had so much more potential but the story is still pretty scattered brained. Leaves the impression they are making it up as they go.
Majikoi VN is overrated. Shit is plain bad in every way except production values. Art and music is hella top tier. But every line of text could have not been written and it would have had the same overall effect.

It really makes me wonder how this is going to affect him overall for the story. Perhaps this will be the event that makes him an active player in the game of becoming a god, rather than just a passive bystander while Yuno does all the work. He hasn’t really lost anything precious to him until now. I hope his dad bites the dust in a horrible way.
At first I didn’t really give a shit about the backstory between Ai and Marco, but once it started to get fucked up, I actually felt pretty bad for both of them. It’s a damn shame Ai got gang raped and Marco was too late to save her before it happened. I was actually kind of sad that they had to go out like that. For those two to have a messed up background like that, they deserved a peaceful death by cell phone destruction. I’m not even sure how Ai survived that long after getting her throat slit. @_@

So Tetsu was a part of a rapping Joi faction which dissed the shogunate. Guess that’s how they were able to connect both 'gumis into fighting each other; Sasaki found it a chance for his failed half-brother to get captured by the faction, then issue a raid and kill two birds with one stone. Of course, Hijikata’s not going to stand for it, so he decided to duel against him, while Kondo and Okita try to save Tetsu. Of course, there is that female samurai who seems to be pretty intimidating from her first look…so this should be good.
The whole cell phone obsession with Sasaki bugging Gintoki was pretty funny too.
