I don’t think it really matters though. I went overboard on it and the size is WAY too big… I got gung-ho on the number of frames and thus produced this un-usable avatar:

I tried, I failed once more in the size department.
Perhaps this would be a good time to mention to everyone who asks for an avatar that you must keep in mind the size restrictions. If the AV is going to have more than two characters then there is a really high risk of oversized files. Mainly because of the extra colors that will be included in the pallet as well as the frames of animation. I was able to cut corners and get this one down to 40k. But unfortunately it still is too large…

Asking for an avatar including characters NOT from third strike is going to be harder on me seeing as how that is all I’ve got in my library so far. If you’d like osmthing from another game please provide links to aquiring the sprites you’d want.

One thing you could do sometimes is to make the avatar smaller.
It doesn’t have to be 160x64.
If you need more frames then trade it out with size.
eg. do it as a 160x42 av or something.
Indeed, I think the other problem I’ve been dealing with is the ammount that people want to have going on in the AV. As with this last one I made, I felt that it was simply too populated. However, the trend seems to be that many people on this site have three characters that they like (on average) and so I’ll have to adjust!
