Why don’t I see this used more often? The more I spend time messing around with it, the more useful it seems, especially in matches where meter is less of an issue.
Even the pause it gives you is huge. Yes, your opponent gets it, too, but you’re usually the one in control of the match anyway.
So what’s up with it? Why don’t I see it used at ANY level of play.

Also, hilarious against scrubs online. Start a match and mash it out asap. They ALWAYS jump.

AS is a great and underused Zoning tool, it’s also vital in the Gouken match-up.

That is pretty much the only time I’ve ever seen it used. I wonder what other it breaks. Does it beat ELF’s run? That absorbs multiple hits, so I dunno. This is more my lack of knowledge, though.

It does break any armour move, i.e Balrog’s ex dash punch etc. I rather just use ex tiger knee on Elf, safe on block and pursues him

Yeah Angry Scar pretty much stops any Demon Flips - Parry being the important one you cover by using it.

I’ve always felt that Angry Scar is a tool that should be utilized more often. As it was said, vs armor moves (I.E., Gouken/Fuerte/Balrog, etc) it’s an amazing threat to have.

Really wish more people used it, it’s such a great thing to have. Vanilla damage on that DP? I’ll take it all day, lol.

Thing is he’s already got EX Tu for damage which also connects to Ultra.

Personally it’s vital in the Gouken match but outside styling points your wasting meter which Sagat needs.

It’s not bad if your facing low health characters like Seth or Akuma, I’ll stock it up against them now and again as if to just say “If you fucking jump it’s going to hurt you”.

TU > FADC > AS EX TU > U1 Dream Combo.
Bonus points if the first TU is AS.

holy shit just tested it out and its 697 damage!! although it requires you to burn a bar on the AS and get back to full

I use this move often, more than I probably should lol, but it hasn’t been too much of a detriment at my skill level…yet. I feel every time I use it I feel like I change the way my opponent plays the match heavily.

A simple but some-sort of “flashy” combo:
**angry scar, c.mk xx tiger knee xx fadc, tiger uppercut **- more damage than the super with 3 bars

If you have a full bar after the angry scar:
**c.mk xx tiger knee xx fadc, tiger uppercut xx fadc, ultra 1 **- more than 600 damage and really easy to execute, but good luck on having all this metter
