Wowwwwwww, this is a ton of people. With only one machine we’re really gonna have to start this on time.

I’m almost thinking we should do just 1 game each and double elim now. What do you guys think? We have time for 2/3?

One Game Single Elim. Or I guess Double Elim if we feel like bringing tents to camp out overnight.

For single elim, 16 teams = 15 matches. Between 3 and 5 games per match. Each game lasts about 3 minutes. For double elim, 16 teams = 30/31 matches.

So even a 16 team 1 game single elimination tournament will run between 3 and 4 hours. A 16 team 1 game double elimination tournament would run between 6 and 8 hours. Even if everything is running smoothly and there are no delays. Which is of course ALWAYS the case.

With the turnout we’re looking at, going 1 game, single elim is the only way we’re going to be able to run this.
