Well Gabe came by the other day and we had a bunch of good matches. I got him enough times with my anakaris teams and others like marrow, megaman, captain america, ruby heart, etc. He got me plenty of times with his teams also. Wish we coulda taped the matches. I believe I’m right under him with anakaris skill. almost there.

yo beats, what do you think about mummy\chun ron? I still have my infinite into AA with chun besides, I get the same thing with tron.
mummy ron: curse hits them, c.lk+tron, c.mk, SJC TK, curse - rinse wash repeat.
I don’t know either mummy\chun but its inherent that chun can’t dhc in safely on block. She has some minor problems like the one I mentioned but so would mummy\sonson ron. It would have the same dhc problem. However, sonson doesn’t have an infinite and chun’s d.rh beats alot of characters clean. Not many characters have normals that can stop that angle and if her d.rh makes contact, its free tron + mixup into potential infinite.
I’ve been using ana/chun/tron for a while.
trying that cr.lk while a cursed op. jumping around makes it a bit impractical. but if you can catch it a couple times it’s coo. then just kill em with an air comboXXsuper
chun+tron is evil but of couse you already know that =P d.rh stops sents shit too at certain angles
I like killing assists safely (or semi safely) with that team.
launch + snake super (stops a lot of physical attacks) uh oh, so your opponent is gonna do hail! or photon array!..soo…DHC to kikou shou! (invincible)…uh oh they’re gonna do another super…DHC to servbot hammer! (blocks stuff if in right position) nice defense while killing an assist
yes it’s not always very likely, but quite humorous when pulled off in those certain situations =P it’s just dump.
whenever I get a chun AA hit I combo a coffin drop since you don’t really have the option of sj. idle hands. coffing drop hurts.
for dhcing purposes…if you need to. ana’s snake super leaves them in enough hitstun to combo, say…a proton cannon. but to make it easier try launch, right away a lk (goes upwards) snake super (start with top snakes) then dhc to kikousho or something. your ana should be low to the ground
in corner your could do that, dhc to chuns SRK super, or kikoshou and then go for kikoshou super semi inf. I need to play this team a bit more (but chun/storm/psy is too good…chun becomes Magz jr. with psy).
don’t forget the most important of all, matching colors!
Pink team
Green Team
Blue/Yellow and Blue team
Red/Yellow and Red team
you can still use chuns AAA for snap out help/otg and resets type of thing like with son.

in the corner you can do a launch, snake super DHC chun’s SRK super DHC hammertime OR lunch rush (gotta time late for that lunch rush, almost when chun’s super screen is about to end.)
anak with IM.
cr.lp+IM, cr.lk, cr.mp, sjc after 2nd hit of mp, air dash, qcf+k
you qcf in the direction you were facing and dashin, but anakaris will switch sides with the op. because of IM. but you still put in qcf+k and anak will turn around right before he sends out the curse. it all combos. you have a bit of leeway with timing. can OTG. op in corner you should wait a bit longer to qcf+K from the dash
you can use that same setup (cr.lk+IM, cr.mp, sjc) to do stuff like sjc, ad lp lk, land on other side mixups and for max damage Super Cobra Blow.
or sjc, when about to land sj.lp, sj.lk, land, crossover, launch max damage SCB or uncrouchable idle hands…

I just got 139 points of damage on Cable with this. I think that’s 99% (or a bit less if cable doesn’t have 140 points). I can regularly get between 125~135 points. I know it’s possible to get more if you can get the max mashed (or pretty darn close) snake super. (I’ve been able to a few out of a hundred or so times)
I was messing around with timing and comboing a late sj.hk before you land…and maybe adding a couple more hits on the ground/air might help you kill Cable…regardless…this combo hurts
mixup: I gave you incorrect info in my tired state (though I told shoult the correct thing). I have gotten close to 100 points of damage (or actually 100+) for snake super…not 100 hits.

EDIT: Oh, and you anakaris players SHOULD understand the significance of crossing over in that combo…it’s not just for show or anything…

ok, that additional mp has made be be able to get 141 points of damage…I’m sure it can get to 142 also. not only because of the extra hit, but because it positions the opponent perfectly for my preffered snake super mashing method (more on that later)
I consider this a full life combo off of a low. only 1 super, no reset needed.
this combo completely OBLITERATES strider with around 80 hits…70hits easily. it should def. kill anyone with less health than Cable.
on strider size characters…the crossover hp is harder to hit
works on sentinel also, less damage of course
you may not get the insta kill that often, but 130+ points of damage is nice, no?
if you want to attempt a definate kill…change the timing of the ad.hp so that it doesn’t hit. then when you land either do a low, or a nj.lp, d+k to reset (3rd invisible ring will hit them), launch, 123, super, death (reset may vary with fatter characters)
so yeah, I heard that kapkom retired…from a reputable source. sucks
hopefully not fully…and hopefully, like many other marvel retirees, they still play :lmao: maybe he’ll make it to NEC for the low tier tourney

teams names…I think anak/sonson/tron would be good as team kapkom…as he used to regularly run that shit…even against tops. and they are all capcom chars too.

Ive been using team ASS as my main for a while now, and my anakaris generally goes 50/50 with most of the decent storms or magnetos in my area. Sadly, my storm and sonson are both pretty lackluster, (not BAD, but, shall we say, above average.) and regardless of any upper hand i get intitally, once anakaris dies, my game generally turns to rubbish. I would consider myself ALMOST a superkaris, and anak is a staple to almost all of the teams i use.
Anyway, i seem to have real trouble fighting sent with anak. sj.lp -> qcf+p doesnt seem to work too well for me, i tend to eat a frypan 90% of the time. Any tips fighting sent?
Additionally, im a big fan of that mixup with tron, as if im not playing team ASS im playing anak/son/tron or recently im finding anak/jugg/tron to be a lot of fun. Unfortunately I just tend to screw up the air-dash royally and end up doing his dd+2p super, so its not something i often put into practice.
Also, this infinite i found on youtube (that everyone has probably seen) seems interesting, but i don’t think my hands are fast enough for it at this point.

you should generally keep away while in the air. any time he’s coming from under you, assist depending, dd+lp, or meet him with a lp, lk, snake super or regular snake, hk after the reg. snake and try to fierce idle hands maybe.
on the ground, I rush him down (or keep him in stun) with anak’s great air dash strings which tend to avoid commando.
make those assist hits count. try and get that curse! IM’s assist is a little better for this.
try snapping out and going for a mixup on assist if need be.
cr.lk, cr.mp+sonson, sjc, ad lp, lk, land on other side, nj d+hk, launch, 123, super can overkill cable, so use shit like that.

yeah, that infinite is strict timing as far as I can tell from last practicing it. I can get the sjc and pyramid, but you know how the df+k (especially sj version) takes longer to land.
but I have some new techniques that I’ll try to use to see if I can now do it. anakaris definately doesn’t need that infinite with what he can do off one clean hit and at most 1 reset.
NEVER. Im assuming thats a typo. As for sj.lp, idle hands, i probably do that too much. I had relative success with it for a while, but now i just get chewed.
Basically this is the principle i work around. Though admittedly, i should probably make better use of the super or the fierce idle hands. Sent is definitely my worst match up with anak, mostly i think because many of the sent’s that play in auckland nz are figgin awesome, and all play differently.
Win. i have a tendancy to try to run away. Come to think of it sent is probably the only character i dont try to rush at some point. Good call.
Another of my major flaws. Im a little reckless with my assists. I definitely make the hits count though. Well, try too >_>

I can honestly say, i use the sjc mixups with any other assist but sonson. I will definitely look into this more.
This is me being clumsy as fuck. Im pretty sure its me going from a c.mp, (holding stick down) going to neutral, then performing a superjump + air dash, effectively doing the down-down+2hp motion. Practice makes perfect i guess. >_< I have better success sjc’ing s.mp or s.mk, but knowing that i fail at doing it from a c.mp bothers me, so i tend to attempt it more. Perfectionism sucks.
I cant even get the sjc pyramid. Well, i can, but i end up to high to continue with anything from it. And yea, i just like the knowledge that i can do fancy shit.

yeah, sent are generally hard for all low tiers…especially with anak’s damage.
be passive aggressive. throw out a curse, do some ground rush strings, and go back to the air again. you pretty much have to depend on curse or super to kill sent. use shit like air dashing lp and lk to try and get that mixup for super and use sj.hk to hit him from afar.
oh yeah…so who takes as much damage as Anakaris or more, without being too small (so that combos work)?

cr.lk, cr.hp+IM, sj.hp (knocks into IM assist later in the combo…slight oww), air dash down, magnetic tempest…anakaris dies full life from the combo
so funny, yet so sad…

Yep, kinda doing some psychic guess and risk (like you’re assuming storm’s next move is hail storm) so you’ll do the tiger knee air dash mummy wrap… you can also do this on normal jump.
You can do this easily when storm is on ascending mode(before hail storm) but I had a recent match here in singapore and was like after the hail storm HC pause and anakaris is in the state of airdashing… i quickly tried the mummy wrap(because the position is very good)… and it worked… killing storm instead of anakaris . SO I was asking if anak players do also the same thing vs storm…
