You know, the more I think about it the more I’m amazed at just how worked up people are getting over this.
This girl knew this was being recorded so all the “please stop” and refusing to turn over stuff could simply be her hamming it up for the camera. Also if she was in a truly abusive situation where she feared for her safety, she’d take a video like this and go straight to the authorities and get the heck out of there. Instead she sat on it for 7 years until she was apparently told to “return the car.” I don’t necessarily believe the judge either but hearing her on the news recording being all “I told him I have this video I could post on the internet and he said ‘do whatever makes you feel good’ so giggle I did.” She just sounds more like a child who didn’t get what she wants and now wants to hurt daddy as bad as she can as opposed to the poor victim of abuse that has courageously come forward.

The authorities could care less…you seen the cases where abuse was reported (heck my school reported my mom) and nothing is done. They dont take the child away during the investigation so here are your choices:
1-bring it to the attention of authorities who will do nothing but go back to the parent and tell them they are watching them, giving the parent more reason to further abuse the child.
2-do what victims of abuse do to make sure a their voice is heard when a priest molested them, move and report is when they are no longer under that person jurisdiction.

When my dad beat the shit out of me, I got taken away, even though I didn’t testify or whatever. Why? Because I got fucking beat, like any person with eyes could see the ass whooping I had. @ap been there and thats why the school reported my mother. she picked spots to focus on that would be covered by my clothes, and that one time it was so bad I couldn’t walk because the cuts on my legs opened up everytime i took a step. Its embarrassing for the school counselor to force you to pull down your jeans (and it was hot so it suspect I even had on jeans).
The laws are different every where…to stop dealing with the check up visits we simply moved.

Jesus, the pussification of America continues. Yeah, that dad took it too far, but when I was a kid, getting a few swats on the butt with a belt was standard fare. For someone to equate being spanked with a father balling up a fist and repeatedly punching a child is ridiculous. For the record, just about every time my parents spanked me, it was preceded by numerous verbal warnings, never the first recourse. There comes a time when a kid needs his ass beat to listen. A few swats on the bottom with a belt hurts for all of five minutes, maybe. As I said, I believe the father crossed a line, coming back for seconds, there should never be a need for more than 5-6 swats at most.
I just cant help thinking that in the past 30 or so years when parents stopped trying to be parents and wanted to be their kid’s best friend, we’ve seen an increase in crimes committed by minors and a lack of respect by many children towards their parents. At my job I see parents with their children just about every day, I hear a lot of repeated “don’t do that, come over here, I said stay there”, with a kid going where the parent tells them to, then wandering off as soon as the back is turned. Only once have I seen a parent swat his son, a couple of swats on the butt, and you know what, the kid stayed put. When they were done in the store, the son was back to smiling and laughing at something the father said to him, so he obviously didn’t fear his dad. Sometimes you just need to spank a child to get the message through.
No way man. If your dad hits you on the butt you should hold a grudge for nearly a decade and then go off and murder a bunch of people on a bus or something because it’s all your dads fault anyway and hey, those people deserved it!!!
