it would be like
Akuma
sagat
rufus
balrog
ryu
C.viper
Sim
dic
…
.
I agree with magus list so far.
Magus has good point with Akuma at S tier, no joke. I think a year from now we will all see Akuma on top of tiers. Anyways:
S: Sagat
A: Akuma, Ryu
B: Rufus, Gief, Seth, Boxer, Abel, C. Viper
C: E. Honda, Chun Li, Dictator, Dhalsim, Cammy,Ken, Gouken, Blanka, Gen
D: Sakura, El Fuerte, Rose, Fei Long, Guile
F: Claw, Dan
That’s where I would put everyone in an “American” tier list. It differs quiet a bit from the newer Japanese lists coming out. But not that much differently.
Akuma can never B an S tier
none of his options secure big damage and he can’t combo his ultra after an FADC
Dont get me wrong, hes good, but he depends too much on guessing
S tiers are much more solid than that
Akuma and Ryu are S tier material.
Neither have any bad match-ups really same as Sagat and they all have great options. What else is needed to be S class other then this?
Soon, the scrubs will be migrating to the Akuma forum to say he is OP and they will demand nerfs on his gameplay. They will probably want to lower his health lol.
I think sagat is A tier and akuma and ryu are S.
Pasted from a thread in the Akuma forum discussing his ascension in character rankings, his potential and lately his recent Evo success:
american tier list:
Back in my day, S-Tiering was reserved especially for characters who were definitively on a tier above others, like #Reload Eddie or Chun/Ken/Yun in SF3.
If that idea still applies, what Evo proves is that there is no true S tier.
Wow judging things on the top 8 list from Evo? Only a few Japanese players entered, probably about 3. 2 Got to the final 8. They have no console character experience and they still got to top 8.
There is a whole nation of Daigos waiting. If 20 or more serious Japanese players came for 4, things would be different. They would take over Evo, the only advantages America has are console, time, and environment advantage. Not to hate on the home team here, but I just spent the last year and a 1/2 playing in the Japanese scene. They are far ahead of America still as far as skill, just my opinion.
Yeah I mean the grandmasters of only one character came to Japan this year. I think Uryo would have been good for finally showing people that even though Viper is an insane amount of work…that she just has too much stuff to her that works well at high level play. People still can’t play high level Viper like that in the US yet. It requires too much playtime and experience. Which is why we’re sticking mainly with Gorlab and Fatman.
That is true…I wonder what would have happened if Sanford decided not to gimmick Dan out with Cammy. It would have been a really good fight instead of complete domination with the best display of Cammy anyone’s probably ever seen on video. Which still makes it a good fight.
