This seems to line up with what right wing is reporting. The law has always been that children cannot be detained for more than 20 (not sure the exact time limit?) days. Hence when parents are detained, legally the kids cannot be detained with them. The only difference is now the administration is actually enforcing the immigration laws. In the past it was never an issue, since they just let all the illegals cross.
So the question is, should the US just let anyone come into the country and not bother enforcing immigration laws? My take is they should work to change the law so kids and adults can be detained together. Its not right that there are plenty of people in asia are tyring to immigrate legally and getting cock blocked whereas people in mexico can just cross border with kids and be fine. Note that in the legal immigrant case, families are also separated by a large body of water as its usually someone on a h1b or student visa, while their wife and kids are stuck back in their home country. if dems continue with this of favoring one race over another, then indians and asians which are already conservative cultures will continue flocking to republicans.

Trump signed an executive order just a bit ago that will prevent children from being separated from their families. The problem here is that Obama got sued for this during his administration because the facilities were such shitholes. Weâll see how this shakes out.
