American Government Thread 2: RIP John McCain, 81

Can we just “turn out” the voters?

I am now come to the point where I really think we ought to do a wordplay on Aristotle, and go full Excluded Middle (they won’t know the difference), and just let the Trump People-ish Things have him, and allow “The Heartland” to simply devolve into" 'Murika", and let the East and West Coasts retain the Constitution, and become the Divided States of America.

Let the center rot itself out of existence.

We can sent in clean up crews and the Red Cross in a decade or so, once all the stupid has killed itself.

If we keep an open border policy for anyone smart enough to leave 'Murika, then, well, nobody can say we’re not being humane as possible.

Eventually we’re going to have treat their toxic stupidity like the incurable disease that it is, and contain it.

Saving America requires saving it from the Home-Grown Terrorists as well.

The Repugs have engaged in the worst form of Dirty Bombing ever.

Save those we can.

Implement compulsory voting like Australia, maybe? There’s tons of good ways to increase voter turnout. Currently one party benefits from decreased turnout, though, and they’re in power so good luck getting any movement forward here.

and this happened

They aren’t laughing with you Mr. President.

So easy to paint everyone with the same brush, hey retard?

I’m OK with ending the American Experiment and dismantling the Federal Government. The states will become sovereign. Some states will go bankrupt and be absorbed by other states. California, Texas, and New York become mini super powers. Some states may be invaded by Canada and Mexico.

"Sure. The economy booms, unemployment goes down and wages go up, it’s “Obama’s economy”. Anything that Trump did “only benefited the rich”."

While its clear your talking points are that of EVERY Trumper I know… IE whatever Trump says is true so we must Parrot.

The “economy” Trump inherited was the already in a upward trajectory and has been since 2008… anyone with a computer can find this out. The 8 years of Obama on a per year bases are better than what Trump has done. To be fair Obama inherited a recession and in 8 years turned us into a thriving economy and for this history will view and rank Obama as a top 10 all-time president.

Anyways back to reality and current admin.

Either way Trump has done worse than Obama so far but again he inherited such a nice situation you can’t compare to other. Its like a football coach getting a job with a Franchise QB and solid roster and its only year 2 years into that tenure when the other one inherited the Browns and won a Super Bowl with them in 8 years. While economists can’t predict the future we won’t know what Trump really has done to us all till about 2020. In the end Trump spent as estimated 5 trillion dollars to pay off donors/buds and even HIMSELF for almost no payoff.

Wages Up is kinda true BUT it TANKED last year so technically it is UP but still less than 2016. In fact some red states are reducing minimum wage.

Trump long term has fucked us all but we won’t know how bad until at earliest 2020.

. . . . . . and that is why the UN laughed at our Commander in Chief.

Whoa, dude. I like Obama and all… but the Browns.

Yeah, closer to the Jets than the Browns. Not the worst thing out there, but definitely not great by any stretch.

He looks like a virgin still lol

He inherited the worst possible situation and turned it all around in 8 years, he inherited the hypothetical Browns equivalency and turned them into the Pats hypothetical equivalency  . Trump inherited a perennial playoff roster and has done nothing more than go one and done so far.

See this is what Russia/NK do as well… Faux has to edit Trump being laughed at…

I’d say 1931 would be the year equivalent of the Browns.

If the shoe fits

Don’t be so hard on yourself.

I don’t know why you’re against tearing up treaties for arbitrary reasons and touting crazily isolationist policies and scaring everybody away from wanting to deal with us. Haha it’s not like his own advisors are mocking his idiocy and humoring him instead of following his directives!

I hope there’s some lens I could use to make that better, cuz when I say it out loud it does seem pretty horrible. Maybe if I can’t afford a haircut or a shirt and make random vodcasts it will all make sense.

Can you imagine if Hitler had been as inept as Trump?

England would have established economic hegemony over all of the Old World, and we’d be a suburb of Canada.

Which is to say China would have already conquered the world.

I don’t even know where to begin with this…

I think he’s superbly talented at media and audience manipulation. I’d say being able to needlessly borrow one trillion from us ten years from now without having people up in arms is a success. Or being a fantastic front man to distract people while McConnell stacks the courts for generations to come. Just keep doing bad things, pretend like things are normal, and have a propaganda system telling 35% of America that everything is great again.

He’s been a fantastic success for the Republican party. He’s also been dangerously inept enough that he might blow things up for the Republicans for generations to come, but he is cheerily surfing on the culmination of decades of planning. The question is what inspires people to vote. If his actions cause people to vote blue, he’s a failure. The red vote is pretty much locked in, though, so he can probably be as much of a fuck-up as he wants to be and he should still be able to coast forward. Lack of checks and balances is a terrible thing.

To be fair to actual talent within the world of demagoguery, headlights are all that it takes to mesmerize a deer.

Its all fun and games till one of these Trumpers slips and falls while and work and goes to sue and loses because the court system is going to be terrible for years and cator to big business only. Mix this with deregulation and its a disaster waiting to happen for many. The Supreme Court that used to be non-partisan but now is more partisan than the Senate. Brett is going to not only reversing Roe within a year but bye gay marriage/ACA…

Still one of the best memes…
