I’ve always liked Kirk, but I thought a lot of his on field troubles were because of the shitty protection the Skins gave him and the mismanagement of the Skins FO. I’m now learning that’s not the whole story behind him.
He struggles under pressure and can’t hold onto the fucking ball. He can’t win unless everything around him is working, which does not equate to an elite QB.
I was hoping he’d do well in a different system, a place where they’d actually get his first name right. I made a decision to abandon ship when the Skins franchise tagged him for the second year in a row and got rid of McCloughan. I let fate decide what team to follow by following Cousins. That was the vehicle I used to stop supporting the Skins, and I will continue to support the Vikings, even with Cousins shitting the bed. I still hope he can figure it out and turn it around.
Incidentally, my best friend (we were each other’s best men in our weddings- dude is basically my brother) is from Minnesota and has always been a Vikings fan, so it was serendipitous for me to start pulling for them, too.
Anyway, I’m starting to see who Cousins really is- he can have flashes of brilliance, but struggles under pressure. Again, I want him to succeed with the Vikings, but I’m not fucking blind 
And when Snyder either gets rid of Allen, or sells the team, I’ll come back. But I feel way too let down by both of them to support that organization.
And for the record- I still pull for the Skins against the other NFC East teams, and any other team as long as it doesn’t have playoff implications for the Vikings. They just aren’t my main anymore.
Yeah Cousins is a JAG basically. I don’t think he has any real football instincts and everything has to be super calculated with him, and once that is out the window, he panics.
He is exactly who he was with the Redskins. I’m glad that the Redskins didn’t give him a huge contract. I’m not glad they didn’t get shit for him though. That was so stupid on their part.

I know there are a bunch of Skins fans here, and y’all may think I’m a cop-out. And that’s totally fair, I’ll own that shit. Yeah, I gave up on my beloved team, who I’ve been a fan of since the early 80’s as a toddler.
But god damn if they haven’t been frustrating the fuck out of me for 20+ years. I still love the fucking game and want to keep watching. And right now, I’d like to be a part of the Vikings fandom if they can manage to win their first Superbowl. That’s more important to me than allowing Snyder to continue shitting all over me.
I would say you are a smarter fan for doing that then the idiots who still go to games and pay for $12 miller lites. No chance in hell I will support this franchise financially until there is major change. I was hoping the Salute to Service hoodie this year was a nice design and was going to buy one, but now I hope it sucks so that I won’t feel bad about not buying one.
I wear a Redskins lanyard at work and I’m thinking of going back to my Capitals one already. But I kind of also want to keep it on because if people ask me about it, I can tell them the disgust I have with the front office and where my fandom lies right now.
I don’t know if I will rock my current Salute to Service hoodie this winter, and I already put duct tape over the Redskins logo on my only hat. Yesterday was the first time in probably a decade that I did not wear a jersey on game day. Hell the lady at Safeway when I went grocery shopping in the AM even asked me if there was a game on yesterday, because I didn’t have my jersey on. I then went on to tell her about the current status of the team…

I’m actually going to the Vikings Skins game in Minnesota in a few weeks. I joked with my friends about having my Portis jersey on under my Cousins jersey, just in case

Yeah I am just a homer in general. I’m not a big baseball fan at all and find it mostly boring, but I have the game on right now. I’d say Capitals are my 2nd sport, Wizards my 3rd (although they are going to suck as bad as the Redskins for a while), and then the Nats.
And I hope your spelling of the Nats was intentional lol.

My co-worker is a Jets fan. Dude has spent his life rooting for a trash team. He’d been a Jet fan for damn near 20 years when Rypien won our last Super Bowl. Between him and my Browns fan co-worker, they have never had it good. I have had the far better experience. Not gonna be a fair weather fan. I won’t buy official Skins gear. I’ll stick to unlicensed Smack Talk Tee’s and get by just laughing at the ludicrous incompetence.

I do not buy NFL licensed Redskins gear and I don’t go to games. I went home for my bro’s birthday last month. I could have went to a game for cheap but fuck Snyder so I didn’t go. Snyder gets no cash from me fam.

I never understood the fair weather fan or bandwagoning especially in the NFL.
Its been 10 years since the Bucs were in the playoffs and it doesn’t change the way I think of them. I know one day they will be good and that is part of being a real fan. Hell the Rams were the bottom feeders of the NFL with the Browns, Bucs and Bills for many many years and now they are a top 5 team for 3 straight years. I know a Rams fan and even he said he almost forgets how bad they were. Very few teams stay consistently good outside the Pats.

I get that, which is why I said I’m cool with everyone thinking I’m a cop-out for the Skins. But for me it’s not just about them not playing well. I can’t stand what Snyder has done to the team, to the fans (lawsuits, etc.), and the disrespect for individual players. That’s why I decided to abandon ship.
I’ve turned down multiple free tickets to Redskins games already this year.
I will watch all the games still but I don’t even get mad or angry at the games anymore. I’m completely apathetic.
