Sorry man…I’m just fucking pissed that I was the one that they singled out. Me , Brandon ,and Chris were all in the same place. Brandon was hacking his ass off. I didn’t even hack in this place (yet) even though I was ABOUT to. They kicked me just cause I had the program on my damn computer, but Brandon was chilling like 23-4 and no one gave a shit. ECC was the absolute shit last year, and this year there shoud be even more players. So why doesnt everyone try to make it to Dunellen before they make plans for Cali.

Not quite. It’s $60 per segment. And since there are no direct flights via AirTran from Virginia to LAX, it’ll be about $120 one way. Then it’s $120 back for $240 total. Granted, that isn’t bad for flying cross-country (I’m pretty sure it’s less than what I paid last year). But if you’re going the AirTran route, you’d be better off just buying regular tickets. I checked, and round trip tickets from Newport News to LAX are $232 with all the fees. Plus, it’s guaranteed. You don’t have to worry about being stranded somewhere if there’s no room on one of the flights.
Honestly, though, my recommendation would be to find tickets to Ontario International Airport on Priceline or something. It may be a bit more expensive, but LAX is something like 40 miles from Cal Poly Pomona, and cab fare out there is so exorbitant. So any savings from flying into LAX would in all likelihood be more than offset by the cost of transportation to and from the airport.
So Matt, do you think I can come over on Friday? I’m down for MvC2/CvS2/3S/ST/whatever. I’m serious about donig respectably at Evo, and I need to start practicing. Part of the reason I’m not as good as I’d like to be is that I don’t play nearly often enough, and I’m looking to change that.
Since I am not going to NC :(. I will be hosting games at my house on Saturday May 10th. If anyone is intrested holla at me. I will try and have all the capcom games. If enough people show up I will have a tournament.

I’ve taken a look, and I haven’t seen any direct flights from Dulles to LAX around Evo time. There are flights from Atlanta. But that’s a pretty fair distance from Richmond. But hey, it’s just my perspective. If you’ve got a way to get to/from Atlanta, I say go for it.

B/C like the masses of peeps who have never left Sova to go to tourny’s…you probobly dont know just how good of players there are out there. And most likely noone from VA will do any serious damage at EVO…but Foomy did pretty well last year…so you never know. I guess it just depends on what your definition of respectable is. These are just my opinions…but if you cant get top 10 at a meaningless GT tourny…then I wouldnt worry about EVO. To many kids get caught up in playing on goblins/chilling in training mode/and other weak shit…peeps should be worried about why shit from 2000 is still working on them.
