cheapest/easiest V-combos I would add Vega. Execution wise, his slide to repeated roll is easy and quite forgiving even if you mess it up – unfortunately, practicing Vega’s VCs against the CPU is frustrating, and a bit misleading.
Gief also has some easy VCs that you can play around with. His clothesline -> flat -> whiff then OTG is lax and forgiving.
The easiest V-chara to learn is Mika 
- [VC1], c.LP (anti air) / c.HP (ground) xx qcb MK, [qcb HK] x N to the corner, (meter low) otg 360 K out off ass recovery
That’s all you need, good damage and HELLA easy. A-Mika is still better though

Is there an atack that Ryu can use that would put a non-moving character into position for the Shin Shoryuken? I’ve been at it for almost half an hour and did it once by accident.

Genki Dama is trying to find a way to do the shin shoryuken on an assured setup, which I don’t know.
Ohhhh if he means that, an assured setup is if a opponent jumps in, use the special when hes about to land on you. The elbow hits the limb, and the rest of the combo connects…
I personally wouldn’t bother with the shin shoryuken, but cross-up and then link it with a crouching medium attack works on those with poor defenses.
yo the vega slide isnt doing any damage. i saw a vid where he did a inf v|ism on zang. any1 know how to do it?
Actually the odds of landing the SHIN shoryuken consitantly is quite nil, even if you can do all the time in practice mode.
