Ok, I’m far too lazy to read through 100-some odd pages of stuff for this, so if you wanna yell at me/ban/warn/whatever, fine, but either answer my question or link to the answer please.
Can anyone give me some quality A-Gen or V-Gen combos? I’ve been trying to learn his play style and he’s currently my favourite character. I’m REALLY bad at this game, but I’d also really like to get better. Any tips for an A-Gen player?
I’ve been using Birdie recently, and I’ve become interested in his playstyle, since it’s quite challenging getting an approach and staying relaxed enough to watch for 360 openings.
Any Birdie players here can tell me what their method is for the Turn Head Butt move? Such as what buttons they hold and in what situations they usually use it?
I’ve been practicing that post-throw corner combo (b+rh->super grab) for a while. It works regardless of air-recovery which is pretty cool, but without air-recovery, the timing is weird for me still
Are any of you guys comin to MWC there’s gonna be a big A3 tourney there. Also have any of you guys played Edma his Guy’s fuckin Insane. I was hangin wit Dhalsim but once he got in he tore me up. I mean what can I do to assure Guy or anybody for that matter not gettin in on Dhalsim thats why Im tryin to learn Cody.
I have the DVD, but no capture card or DVD burner.
Anyway, yeah… You should just get the Evo 2k2 DVD since it’s probably exceptionally cheap by now.
It wasn’t perfect timing. The c.SK came late, from what I can tell.
Something is only truely an unblockable reset if you and your shadow are hitting both high and low on the same frame. So it’s theoretically possible to block it if it’s mis-timed by even a single frame.
That Vega (balrog) player managed to high block the demon flip, low block the c.SK, high block the demon flips shadow, then low block the shadow of the c.SK.
If you watch closely, you can see him “wiggle” at just the right moment.
Balrog on Evo DVD:
I think he said he just didn’t think of it. He played Balrog for a while, but he hadn’t gotten around to working ccs into his gameplay yet, and the result probably ended up costing him a round or two.
Good matches though. Was one milisecond away from winning that match vs Chikyuu (timed his crouching strong just BARELY wrong vs the Tengu Walking, after getting it right like 3 or 4 times in a row).
