Apparently they suspended the previous version downloads. No clue why.
I could send it to you via e-mail or something if you’d like.
[Edit] nvm. I’ll upload it to my server since it’s so small :

Thanks!
No prob.
If you’re done downloading, I’ll take it down now.
I can only get the sweep-AA thing to work agiainst jumping towards KICKS. I can’t find any punches it works against… Of course, I haven’t tested against every freakin’ attack.
Is that weird? Is anyone else trying this?
Xenozip: Maybe crossing up during VC is random? What makes me think this is that when I watch you replay… You whiff RH during 3rd loop, and don’t cross-up… and most of all, You don’t cross-up at ALL after the 4th loop. But I can see you going through the actions for the rest of the combo… even Akuma mashing PPP at the ending (whiff jabs)
Sucks how it doesn’t work. Do I have some settings wrong or something?
The only setting that is different is infinite battle time enabled, which shouldn’t effect anything.
The weird thing is that I noticed this too in one of my old Guy VC replays. The crazy thing though, is that after closing FBA and re-opening it, the replay played back fine.
Weird… It works fine on my end. Try setting infinite battle time to on?
[Edit]: OK, now I’m really confused. I just watched it again after opening FBA and it worked fine. I enabled infinite battle time and again it worked fine. Then I tried disabling infinite battle time and it played back exactly how you described : botched all to hell.
So, does that mean if I do the combo again with no cheats enabled, I won’t cross up at all?
Worth a shot, anyway…
Grrr… Too stressful right now. I’m off to play 3rd strike for a bit. But anyway, enable infinite battle time and it should run fine for some freakishly inane reason.
y do people use fba instead of mame.
whats the diff btween the emu’s?
I dunno I just use FBA cause my controller drivers work with it and I can activate unlimited health if I want to fight the same character for a few hours.
Oh yeah been trying Bison at the arcade, he can cause a good amount of guardcrush in the corner, and if you almost have them guard crushed, a Psycho Crusher during or after a poke string can be a quick way of getting some damage.
Also if you poke enough with the Scissors kick, you can actually start people second guessing themselves, which means you can throw a Psycho shot around sweep range and not have to worry about a jump-in! You can then follow in for a walk up throw, stomp, or start another poke string to wear down the guard meter!
Maybe it’s just because it don’t have the setting right or something, but FB makes the games look better for me.
Xenozip: umm… how do I change the time and stuff?
Well, I know for a fact that fba doesn’t support loading a state during a recording. If one of the other two emu’s do, then they could potentially be infinitely more useful. But personally I think it’s all a matter of preferance. I prefer FBA simply because I can adjust the sound/volume settings easily with a hotkey.
After the game is loaded, there’s a “Misc.” tab, under that click on “enable cheats”.
In that menu, select infinite battle time and at the bottom, switch it to “enabled”.
Then run the replay.
I guessed I’m cursed or something because my “enable cheats” tab is greyed out.
Ok, I’m pretty sure this sweep-AA thing is completely attack-dependant. The ooponent’s attack has to put them into a state where they can be anti-air’ed by a low attack.
Basically, it can be use against any attack that has the opponnent fall into the air if they are hit out of it by ANY move, and low enough for the sweep to connect. Some jump attacks meet this critera (mostly jump towards kicks), and even some specials.
Examples:
Vega’s wall dive (when he’s about to stab you)
Vega’s rolling claw (when he’s in the air)
Cannon Drills
Shin Bison Psycho Crusher recovery
Bison’s Headstomp->float back… ONLY if he doesn’t hit a button during the float back… if he does the punch dive it don’t work. go figure.
I also learn VS Honda Headbutt, you can VC… and he’ll whiff and bounce back and land in front of you. Go into ground VC. Not related, but now I can VC the headbutt with characters that don’t have an true AA VC. w00t
Hi again folks, can anyone tell me if Gouki’s Shun Goku Satsu has other properties in X-ISM as in A? For any hints, thanks in advance.
Just got the All About Street Fighter Zero 3 book in the mail. Haha, looks like it’s time to crack open that Japanese book again…
But Jesus Christ, no wonder why everyone in Japan has a minor in Z3. This book is like 445 pages, and it actually gives good advice. It’s like that old SF2:HF/Champion Edition guide from way back when, only expanded on. And sold for like $12, and that’s when it was NEW.
Apparently you can hit X-Sagat out of a blocked Tiger Blow after blocking the first hit…
Hello i’m pretty much a n00b to zero 3 espeically V-sim i’d like to start using V sagat, could anybody give me some advice about him ie good points bad points genral does and dont with him just some basic shit to get me up and running, thanks in advanced
Lol I just ordered that last week and cost me 30 bucks from animebooks :-/ Damn those import premiums. Anyhow you read japanese or something? i just ordered it for frame advantages, but if there’s like strategies or something in numerical or picture form that’d be great. Also, is it basically the CVS2 bible…but for alpha 3?
This is what I know: Xism’s Shun-Goku-Satsu takes a little more than Aism’s. But it’s very hard to notice at all. The Aism one takes about 50% of health, and the Xism 60%. With Akuma on Xism, yes, that is the only super he can do. Both Xism and Aism as far as I know for Gouki can’t be combo’ed into. Shin Gouki Raging Demon ( Shin Akuma far that matter ) CAN be combo’ed into by jabs and kicks.
You may already know, but it takes 3 bars on Aism to do the Shun - Goku - Satsu. Compare that property to Xism, and you have to ask yourself is it worth building 3 bars for one super - or is it just the risk as to building the extremely long Xism meter and risk missing a powerful raging demon while you could of done another super move if you were in Aism.
Edit - There or no levels in Xism. It’s just one long bar that takes you to a seemingly different level higher than Aism. Either you land the extremely powerful super or miss.
Umm… s.LK, and d.HP and good pokes.
Basic VC would be VC2 (mk+mp), LP uppercut, RH tiger knee, s.HP, whiff RH tiger knee, s.HP, whiff RH tiger knee, s.HP, whif knee, etc. Replace the whiff knee with whiff fireballs when you get to the corner. If you’re far away, you can leave out the uppercut and start with the knee (pass thru FBs and stuff).
445 pages? jesus…
use 40 posts per page option, much better.
Hehe, I think they were referring to the “All About Street Fighter Zero 3” book. Not the thread. :B
Don’t load the game directly from the replay. You need to load the game (the rom itself) first before you can activate any cheats.
If it still doesn’t work, then you’re probably missing cheat files or something.
And if you download this file and extract them into your “cheats” folder (in the fba folder) and it still doesn’t work, then I dunno wtf. :B
Shun Goku Satsu has invinciblity on start up, the computer has used it as anti-air and anti-poke on occasion. Teleport behind then Shun Goku Satsu seems to work since most people try to poke at Akuma but by then he’s invincible on startup.
And how come the VC combo thread isnt sticky? since you cant search for anything less than 4 letters how are you supposed to find VC?
Search for character names…unless you want combos for Ryu, or Ken…or Dee Jay, or Gen…or Guy or…yeah.
Anyway, I read a tiny tiny tiny bit of japanese, but there’s a lot of stuff you can figure out just by reading katakana and looking at charts and stuff. I’ll post some stuff soon, though some is old (the red flash stuff I could figure out).
Yeah you can use Shun Goku Satsu vs pokes and as anti-air. Not so easy to pull of on demand though, other than on wakeup. There was a SGS setup in one of BAS’ vids that was crouching Short, Jab, Short xx Short Hurricane Kick -> super vs a crouching opponent. Hurricane whiffs…
