I never understood why people did the cl.HP xx spinner ball. The only reason I can see to do it is to possibly waste time and lead to a time out. It just seems like a lot of work for small gains.
Also I changed myself confirms a bit.
Of of Course Picante I would follow up with SS and Apres hard .
Now I do Course Picante into LP Cracker into Cracker Jacker.
It does more damage but, it’s harder to confirm.
You do it for meter.
I need to know the exact combo people use with cl. hp spinner ball. The one I am testing against the regular tag combo does less damage than the regular BnB and gains the same amount of meter.
The one I see is cl.HP xx HK spinner ball x2, cl.HP xx spiral rocky. There might be one more cl.HP xx spinner ball rep in there though.
Either way, there’s a couple things to keep in mind. Only one hit of the spinner ball will connect, and one hit of spinner ball builds 15 meter. Secondly, meter build scales too, not just damage. So you’re doing 2/3 hits of 15 meter build, and the final 40 meter off of spiral rocky…VS…2 spiral rockys that count as 2 hits and build 40 meter each. If the spinner balls don’t build less meter, then the same combo builds about as much meter with more damage every time.
So yet again Bobs seem to only use that combo for styling rather than practicality. Because I doubt it corner carries any more than 2x Spiral Rocky.
I don’t know who but I can never get the 2nd Spiral Rocky after a Launcher, the Cr. HP hits but they pass through me when I do Rocky,.
Either you’re doing it too late or you added something that threw off the juggle count causing the Rocky to whiff.
Are you walking forward enough? Can you do cl. hp xx Rocky, cl. hp xx Rocky after launcher in the corner without any problems?
Yeah I can do that with no problems whatsoever, I probably just gotta walk forward more.
Sorry if this is old but, I’ve been trying some AAs with Bob. I found out that LP Cracker > Pound Cake walk forward St. lk ~ Gaufrettes Punch, Launch is possible. It does 255 damage opposed to the normal 285/298 that’s possible.
I do that AA combo all the time but i never thought to launch there… nice!
Hate to bring up an old discussion again, but you can activate your entire gem load with Spinner x3 to Spiral Rocky. And despite what older posts say, the corner carry is about a Ryu’s cr mk longer than Spiral Rocky x2.
It’s circumstantial, yes. However, it’s not useless.
I never said anything about being useless. This is a fighting game, most of the time things won’t be possible if they are useless.
The gens activated do depend on your gem load out, but that is one of the reasons TCK uses the combos he does.
However, none of the default gem sets are completely activated by that combo though. With meter you get two gems activated which can be useful if you’re running bob anchor.
But are you using HK special step for its full distance before the first spiral rocky? Because I’m pretty sure that makes it very close to the same corner carry. I will say that the spinner ball combos do a little more damage when max scaling is occurring, which can bet you a KO if you need it
Any gem set that doesn’t give you 3 bars off the first touch is a bad gem set.
