It wasn’t BLM land. It was land owned by the State of Oregon.
They didn’t use weapons to take over the building. They didn’t kick down the door or threaten people, because the place was empty.
All they’ve done is basically camp out on the front lawn, and just happen to have their weapons with them (which is admittedly a violation of Oregon open carry).

I wonder maybe the government supposedly will cave into their demands, at least as far as handling the land back over to locals–whatever that actually would mean–goes. Clearly the Hammonds are still going back to jail, so that’s demand is dead in the water now.

Anyway, we all know the Isis has always been vanilla in core. That is all a product of the fucked up country known as the USA and the media is just blowing smoke up our asses telling us that it’s all the fault of muslims.

At first I thought this would turn out like Waco, but after thinking about it, I’ll bet they’ll have a bunch of infighting going on and it’ll peter out.
Depends on the context. The hammond family was blatantly harassed and bullied for decades over their land, mainly by the BLM. Their court case seemed to be a big pile of shit, with jury manipulation, and the judge not allowing certain bits of evidence that made a good case for the hammonds. Even so, they were found guilty, and convicted as terrorist under some weird 1996 terrorist act. The judge didnt give them the minimum of 5 years because he felt it violated the 8th amendment of cruel and unusual punishment, so one did 3 months, and another did 12 (the son i believe).

Soooo, then after they were done their time, members from the blm and the wildlife refuge filed an appeal for them to continue their sentence, and some judge came in and sent their asses back to jail for 5 years. Oh, and to add insult to injury, they had a 400,000 dollar fine from the conviction, paid off 200 grand of it, but they had to pay off the other 200 grand before the end of 2015 or face fines. BUT, BUUUT, if they cannot pay that off, they have to sell their ranch to the BLM if they choose to do so, as they were forced during their trial to give BLM first dibs on the land if they sell it.
Thats kind of the cliffnotes version of more fucked up stuff that has happened to the hammonds, and other ranchers in that area.
There really isnt anything the militants can do thats going to change anything about the blm, the hammonds past situation, or the past situations of other ranchers. I dont condone this, but they wouldve made a larger point in assassinating the people associated with this harassment and bullying against the hammonds (from judges, to lawyers, to blm members contributing to the nonsense), and likely other ranchers. As it stands now, theyre just kinda sitting around with guns waiting for shit to go left.
Also, just so everyones clear, the hammonds were sentenced over starting two fires, not any crazy wild shit. 1 that was a normal burning that got out of hand, and the fire department was made aware they were gonna do beforehand. The 2nd was over starting a backfire to counteract a raging fire started by lightning on public land that was coming into their land and threatening even the house they lived in. The first judge tossed the charges out before it came back around again 5 years later.
If a black militant group wanted to hold up a federal building for justice, it better be for the clearest and most concise reasons ever, with clear demands, because the cops are going to light their asses up anyways, but at least if your shit is outlined right, people may sympathize. As black americans, we should know better than to do some white boy shit like that though. We’re better off coming together as a people, getting educated, opening more businesses, buying more land, and just eliminating all the fuck shit in general. Demanding shit at gunpoint aint our privilege in this country.

Probably wont be much infighting. It will just be a big waste of time. It can only go left, or go nowhere. There is literally nothing that standing around with semi automatic rifles can do for them, the hammonds, past ranchers, or current ranchers.
You can tell how stupid all of them are, thinking intimidation with their pew pews is going to somehow reverse time and put an end to all corruption that the BLM, wildlife refuge, judges, and even local media has done to some of these ranchers.
You either gotta bathe the streets with the blood of your tyrants (easy to mixup too many innocents in doing this though), or change the system from within. Get educated, get connected, get in, and change it all.
