The MvC2 soundtrack wasn’t terrible… Just terrible for a fighting game In my opinion.
A good soundtrack for a fighting should depend style of the game.
Since this is Marvel it should be frantic and/or heroic.
I just hope they don’t think metal is relevant.
The base theme was good I just hated everything else. I loved the Tatsunoku themes because I loved them as a kid & love them now. And of course Alex had a great theme as usual.

I would be over the moon if they included all the tracks from Marvel Super Heroes and remixed them SSFIV style. Who doesn’t love the Captain America theme? It would be great if they did it MVC1 style where you would get the challenger’s music and then when a character is KO’d the replacement who jumps in get’s their theme played instead.
If the music in the trailer is any indication of the direction they are going with it, i say don’t worry. it sounded epic as fuck.
character specific themes would be hot.
switching them up after a character dies and the next one on your team enters (like the old themes) would be pretty awesome.
dunno about the direction though, capcom seems to like to switch it up for every new version of a game they do, which makes me think it won’t be either jazz like mvc2 or techno like tvc. maybe they’ll bite off the GG/BB bandwagon and put some metal tracks to this one

This was the only memorable music from RE5.I guess it’s kinda hard to pick songs which represent a character when the game [RE5] is more about subtle compositions rather than “themes”.

To me that sounds like a hot mess. Especially with people that constantly change.
definitely only if someone dies and the next character on your roster comes in…
otherwise you’d have people spamming change-outs just to hear theme music

i mean the select screen made perfect sense! you’ll take scrubs on a ride and they rage quit!
but the airship stage and the swamp stage where the best tracks in my opinion!

I’m sorry man, but screw that noise. I’d take MvC2’s soundtrack over anything licensed, especially Nightwish.
Naw that song is just the most obvious choice. They are definitely gonna go with one of the many Lock & Load themes seeing as it is Dante’s theme.
