You misinterpret what i am saying. What I am trying to say is that video games are of course no physical feat but mentally most girls do not have what it takes to be a top gamer because of the barriers society has constructed towards the image of the girl gamer. Girls are not raised to be competitive when it comes to video games. They are socially raised to be passive and interested in domestics and fashion. Until society thinks girl gamers are ok you won’t see many of the fairer sex winning any tournaments. There will be exceptions but not enough to really say that girls are on the equal level just yet.
I personally would love to see more girls at these things. The only ones I see are girlfriends that sit in the corner, Juicebox, and Super Yan (I am in love with these girls so there is nothing wrong with that.).
Also you seem to think I am a bad person for thinking an all girls tourney is a bad thing? I personally don’t like to see the segregation. If a girl wants to be seen as an equal play with the rest of us. You will get noticed more if you play with the boys and make some noise. True story.

I don’t think there is anything wrong with having a girl tourney as long as it is just for fun or to get more girls into fighting games.
However, the winner of the female tourney is not going to be good at SF4 unless she wins a coed one.
There is a female tourney coming up in Az, I actually won’t be taking that tourney seriously. I probably will win it. 
If a girl wins a male tourney then they deserve recognition. Simple as that.

I’ll side with thxyoutoo. I think if a chick wants to get some tourny play then she should play with everyone else. An all girl tourny would be degrading, as most of the guys would just sit back laugh and talk shit. Any girl with any kinda of smarts wouldnt want to be involved in something like this. I guess it wouldnt be any better if they were in a regular tourny. The same shit would happen. Men/boys seem to forget how to act when ladys come around.
Another thought, my wife would dominate all of these chicks that “sit in the corner” and she would probably dominate some of you dudes too. I’ll just go ahead and quote myself from when I took a trip up to sacto and saw one of those girlfriends in the corner. “My wife would destroy that chick.” muahahahaha!
