My first final is this Saturday. So I’d say middle of next week.
I got the job. I start 1/4/10. Not looking forward to the hours worth of paperwork I have to do though.

Whos ready for some hype games manana!!!
Ok kids I relise a lot of the albany players are reluctent to attend my tournaments, not too sure why exactly but here’s some incentive. I anyone from albany places top 3 ill give u an additional 100 dollars, also there’s a wild card match, this is an idea I came up with to support players who don’t place top 10. If u do not place top 10 ur name is entered into a raffle, two names are drawn and those 2 players do a ft3 for a prize, last time I gave away a ps3 hori
Well first of all im a street fighter player, and my real first experience with learning the game is t6 so no real confidence in myself since i dont have the real dedication to it until summer. I work a full time job 9-5 a real job not flipping burgers, and am in grad school. Not to mention i travel alot to the city for family. When summer starts again ill probably travel again with these guys like i did to put up or shut up where i actually placed in sf not too well but tieing for 9th on my first ever tourney was a shock to me.
And finally why the hell would anyone make a tourney on new years day, the day after when most ppl are hungover or still drunk from the previous nite? I value family more than going out to a tourney, not to mention i value the experience gained more than the money, so reluctance to show up is more on the not having the dedication at the moment this is a hobby not life for me.
It’s nothing personal on my end… I’m only home for 10 days until NEXT december so I have a lot of personal shit/people I really would like to catch up with. Probably only to play games for 1 or 2 days for a few hours total, just not high on my priority list at the moment.
Oh shit hype!
… day is going too slow, studying is killing me, i hate exams so much
lol my schedule is so brutal the next 4 days
In case there was any misunderstanding between ZZY and ourselves. He was simply stating that Albany does not participate in very many upstate gatherings. Which is true. We’re probably the least active scene in the state. Unless you maybe count Kingston. I’ll agree with him there. Kyle is just trying to build the Upstate fighting scene and it’s nice of him to include us, even though we’re kinda blah…So don’t get salty at him, he’s not coming on here saying “Yeah I know Albany sucks so they don’t come to tournaments, so here’s some incentive!” so don’t take it the wrong way.
BUT! on the flipside…
What the rest of the state does not know is this time a year ago, Albany was pretty much dead. I wasn’t really hanging out with Paul or Jim at the time. There was no scene whatsoever. SFIV drops and PnT opens up and I kind of reconnect with Ken and Paul and I meet a bunch of new people, who all happen to be into fighters. So as I’ve stated before Albany is kind of rebuilding it’s scene. Some people don’t really care about tournaments, others do. Some don’t care about 1 game as much as the next…etc. We’re in a rebuilding process right now and so far it’s going pretty well. Albany is notorious for getting new players and then they vanish off the face of the earth or they decide they don’t wanna play anymore. This is the best we’ve looked in a long time. So just give us a bit.
As for the New Years tournament. I’m interested. Paul is semi-interested and Nunie is interested. I haven’t spoken to everyone yet, but we could end up going. We’ll let you know Kyle.
who’s taking it personal?
who’s even reading this much into it? I just have no interest in it on that day or while I’m on my short vacation back to NY in general. More important shit to do, real life is a much better game to get sucked into sometimes.
ugh swamped with work this week _- and that date is bad for a tourney
Ok that’s fine and I think we all understood that.
My post wasn’t directed at anyone, it was in case someone WAS reading too much into it and/or taking it the wrong way.
EDIT I will play some Blazblue tomorrow if there is a want.
I’ll ask Keith for 2 setups just in case. If not I guess peeps can play Smash with Benny. And TvC once that comes out in a month or so.
EDIT GET HYPE FOR THIS TOO!
