You know I’m down, it’s always fun playing for money. As long as we don’t only play ssf4 then I’m down. China Wok should be the ideal location to hold ranbats. We should at least make fliers and put them at hvcc or at the windows of China Wok imo.

Btw I wont be here this week cause I’m going to the city for personal matter. If people really want to get better I think we should go along John’s plan. And not be scarred loosing money, or maybe be scared of loosing money so you can play better.

Is the Wok honestly big enough to hold any more folk that we already have showing up? Having 3 setups there seemed to be too much, and that included a laptop. But on the positive it is a public space, which is usually better for any sort of legit tournament. If there is anywhere in Albany I would think we’d get a better turnout though than Troy.

I’d volunteer to design a flier if this materializes. Put that art school degree to use. And could anonymously post a couple at high schools in the area.

The tables near the front of the store would work well, and I’ve yet to see anyone sit there in the 4-5 times I’ve eat @ the buffet. People usually wanna sit near them food troughs :stuck_out_tongue:

Ya the Wok is fine for a tournament. Keith was talking about hosting one the other day and I know hes done them before. We can use the buffet area and I think before he charged venue and made some buffet deal or something (not sure since I didn’t play then, paul or someone might know).

Asking for the buffet area for a ranbat is too much imo.

and ya like I said I’d rather do ranbats at someones house. Less gas money + less laggy TV’s.

I work at a UPS Store until May 31st (then I’m home near the city for the summer, unless a job pans out up here). Moral of that story if we want to print flyers, get them to me by the middle of may and I can print a couple 100 if we need them.

I honestly think we should just keep the cheapo tournies to ourselves, and do those in the take-out. Then we can hype a tourney every once in a while, make it like a $3 venue fee and $7 entry, and we use the buffet area.
