So what I’ve learned today from the almighty Superlollo is that you should NOT help people who are trying to get better. Instead, bash on them. When they ask for questions, just call them “newbie” and tell them to change their character and that they suck.
It’s bad to ask questions because the search feature is just so amazing. (Definitely just tried searching “secondary character” and I just got a bunch of bullshit like vortex questions. I got one post by a Dudley player saying he wants to second akuma. I wish I could search like lollo.)
Another thing is that using your time to type up a huge fight over the internet, is much more useful then typing out advice. But when I do manage to answer someone’s questions, I have to make sure they know my dick is bigger than their’s, so I MUST sound better than them in every way.
Thanks lollo, keep contributing bro. I hope I helped feed the troll. :3
Guys, come on…this is a thoroughly counterproductive use of our efforts. We’re not here to compete for the title of Best Akuma, we’re here to get better and share knowledge/tips.
Here’s a small tidbit that it took me entirely too long to discover. I’d been using HP Hado for Akuma’s ‘2 bar’ punishment combo (cl.HPxxHado>FADC>cl. HPxxLK Tatsu, DP - I’d often negative edge the HP Hado) and found the timing between the cancelled fireball and the second HP to be rather tight. Using the LP Hado in place of the HP Hado made the combo easier for me.
It is more character dependent, but sometimes the LP fireball hits later than the HP fireball giving you a larger advantage. Also against Chun HP fireball whiffs completely when she is crouching. (Man I love her hit boxes. )
I was thinking of using negative edge MP fireball (too many times it kind of plinks or whatever when I fadc, I screw my combo and have to rely on quick DP to make sure it wasn’t a total waste of of meter), but if there’s the chance a jab fireball grants me more advantage, I might as well stick to that.
Well, more likely I’m failing at that, my execution is ass… I do cr.LP into st.HP, then negative edge fireball with the Fierce button, but the focus attack comes out from P2, and from P1 I can’t even cancel into the hado, lol. Wish the damn plink wouldn’t result in a EX fireball, it feels much better to plink that…
Morning/Afternoon/Evening, I’m a Gen player and I just felt like expanding a little and I’ve decided to try Akuma, I’ve looked at all the combo’s I’d use as a starting player. But I can’t seem to get the “vortex” going on, I was wondering if anyone could help in some way? I know it’s a REALLY vague request but if someone could spar with me or give me some basic rules I should stick to that’d be great
Seperate question, I’m trying to air-tatsu cross up on wakeup and stuff and I just can’t time it, is it difficult to do? Or am I just doing it wrong? Or both? haha
It’s not just the vortex, my general play is questionable and I wanted someone to pick it apart and try and iron out my many creases, any general tips and tricks?
Thanks for pointing me towards the vortex thread never saw that before.
I use LP in my fireball FADC combos simply because it’s easier on my hands, I had troubles with consistency when I was trying to double tap HP or use negative edge, for some reason repositioning my hand to tap LP for the fireball helps with my execution.
Didn’t know that HP fireballs don’t work on some characters, I’m glad I picked up a good habit for once!
Hit the lab this morning, I’m still struggling with that. I went back to use LP instead of negative edge
Using a different button kind of helps with the fireball motion, my mind reacts like I’m actually doing two separate moves and I’m succeeding more. Yeah I know it sounds silly, lol.
I still fear that EX fireballs will come out, not using negative edge…
Hey guys can you give me a few pointers on what’s the easiest way to to a st.cl.HP into fireball? I keep getting cr.HP if I start the QCF motion too early. Are you supposed to start the motion after you press the HP or is there a shortcut to that?
You input the qcf motion after pressing hp, I find it is alot easier to do if you use negative edge (hold down the hp and let go after you’ve complete the QCF motion).
