Bait out electricity with air tatsus (hit them earlier than usual) and punish, and use air fireballs from further out so that you don’t land on electricity. Besides that, make sure to always punish BBs with Demon. Standing fireballs can also be used effectively if you’re careful.

obviously it’s a lot more complicated than that but this is my basic general gameplan every time i play a blanka until they get ultra.
why did infiltration and hsien use U2 against rufus??
I think you can anti air messiah kick with it and Ultra 1 is much harder to land on the Fat man.
It counters EX messiah kick on block, which Rufus players are quite liberal at using. I also believe it will catch the back-dash should the Rufus player FADC cancel out of it on block.
Infiltration demonstrated this in his second match today.

Link - A combo method where you combo two moves in a row not based on any special system built-in combo method. The first move simply recovers fast enough and the second move simply comes out quickly enough for the two to connect.
Chain - Used to generically describe the cancellation of any move into any other move.
None; Akuma’s overhead is 0 on hit, which means you cannot combo after an overhead.
I have a lot of trouble with the c.HP > Fireball motion, as 9.9/10 times I end up with cr.HP instead. If I am going for the BnB I’ll hold then do the but if I hold then do ill just do a dp.
Is there any advantage in using c.HP instead of cr.HP?
c.HP has fewer startup frames than cr.HP, which makes some combos only possible with c.HP. I believe it’s got more range as well, not sure about that though.
You could just activate your own ultra there
OS Tatsu Questions
I was playing another Akuma yesterday and every I did an untechable knockdown and I would demon flip in he would Teleport out. It got frustrating that I could punish him at all. I know the game has an OS tatsu and Raging Demon. What inputs do I have to do to get these OS?
Perform your jump in (Dive kick or cross up is preferable to avoid SRK reversals) and just before connecting with the attack input
D, DB, B, Hold DB+HK.

Why did Infiltration keep using cr.lp and cr.mp as resets? He did use c.hp at least once… why not all the time? Ease of exceution when canceling into Demon Flip?
And how come he seemed so fond of doing DPs FADCed into Shakus? Is that really efficient?
It seemed me mostly did the DP FADC Shaku from the ground. Not after comboing from the tatsu.
I can understand it because from the ground, the shaku the best punish after DP FADC.

I noticed he did srk into shaku and immediately mk demon flip palm whiffed into a grab. This placed him right on them as they were waking up, forcing them to tech.
it’s because you get a safejump out of it even after a tech.
Regarding OSing Chun:
Say Chun has meter for EX bird. I try to safe jump and OS a sweep in. Am I supposed to lose to the EX bird? The reasoning is because the safe jump HK goes through the EX bird, activating the sweep, and the sweep loses to the invincibility frames of the EX bird. I can safe jump the EX bird, but if I try to OS a sweep I get hit.
I’m starting to think I’m doing the OS input wrong. I jump in with HK and during block stun I input another D+HK. Is this correct?
