I used to have a similar problem getting my options to follow-up from FADC’d fireballs. For reliability ONLINE I opted for c.mp > tatsu as lag delay can make the hp options (while preferred for damage) somewhat unreliable for me.
HOWEVER, I recently ditched my 40" Samsung LCD TV which exhibited input lag for a 24" BenQ E2400 LCD panel. I find the reduced input lag on this screen made my FADC follow-up options much more reliable.
Input lag and online lag aside however, it really is just a timing issue and once you have it committed to muscle memory and understand the rhythm, things begins to work out. If I’m dubious on the connection I still opt for c.mp however. Offline, cs.hp all the way Unless of course they’re crouching - in which case opt for c.hp to stand 'em up and plug them with the tatsu.
yeah but he also says he wants to replace it with c.mp which has 4 startup frames just like cs.hp, that’s why I thought he meant crouching fierce (6 startup frames)
I can’t manage myself to do an instant air fireball on opponent’s wake up and put myself behind him. I’m certainly not doing it right, so if someone can help me with the distance, timing…
I’ve got some problem with c.lk c.lp s.lp ~ sweep. I can do this link most of time, but sometime, after the c.lp i’m still to close and a fockaing mothafockabeetch CLOSE STAND light punch appear. ( And of course after this Clz.lp i’m too far to follow it with any far lp… :bluu: ) any advice on that ? I know that i can also follow the close lp with a sweep but I find that the link Clz.lp ~ sweep is more difficult than far lp ~ sweep.
To get the distance for crossup fireball down do like this:
do a demon flip throw
dash forward as soon as you can…now you’re at the perfect distance
jump forward and IMMEDIATELY do a lp air fireball
It takes some practice but that’s probably the best way…give it a shot
As for your other question, i usually do c.lk, s.lk, fs.lp , sweep. Works all the time, you’re never too close after such combo. Works even on ryu and all the other small hitbox characters
i watched the tutorial video of loltima several times but i cant understand how to plink so
i try to learn it without plinkin and i do alright but is there any other method that can make this link easier?
probably been asked, but what’s the difference between akuma’s c.MK->FB and ryu’s, and why’s ryu’s supposedly such a better zoning tool? maybe just poor memory, but i don’t seem to recall a lot of videos with akuma using it, is it because his f.RH generally outshines it?
well if you wanna be boss like the japs learn to double tap…i’ve been tryin to learn but shit’s hard…(for my plink I hit both buttons at the same time…works for me although techincally not proper plinking)
and doboi…ryu’s active frames on his MK are better and his fb comes out 1 frame faster than akuma.
