Also, just a little funny thing you can do with a Seimitsu shaftcover (from joystick LS-40(-01):
Just take the shaftcover and a 9mm drill (just the drillbit) and twist it by hand inside the shaftcover untill it goes completely through, then just put it on the Sanwa JLF ^_^.
Shaftcovers in the shop goes for 110yen/each and are available in:
Red, Green, Blue, Yellow, Pink and Black (and no, there is no white shaftcovers:)).
(And no, Seimitsu does not sell white dustcovers or any other color than black, sorry).
PS: You must have the Sanwa dustcover that has the bigger hole aka JLF-CD, or you could drill out the smaller version…

I probably don’t need the buttons at this stage, since replacing them looks a little too complicated - I’d like to change them eventually since the colours on the joystick are quite ugly but which ones can/can’t be used?
But yeah, I’m definitely interested in changing the joystick component to the Sanwa joystick which is supposedly much more responsive.

I’ll wait until someone can tell me which joystick component is necessary (8Y or 8YT). I have no idea how to actually put it all together, so after I order it, I’ll need someone to help walk me through the actual process!
Also, if I were to purchase TWO (2) of each component (since I have 2 joysticks to mod), how much would shipping be to Australia?
Per give me your Flash : D Also, you don’t need 8YT. Just the regular one without mounting plate is better for that mod.
