It’s probably a gamble. I did the exact thing today, I ordered from LL yesterday, then cancelled and went with this site today. My thinking was if LL is out of stock, they have to order parts that I assume come from Japan. Why not order from a place that is closer to the mother load of parts?
I’m sure LL is a great company and fast, but I just have a feeling that right now this site might be a bit quicker due to inventory and proximity to more inventory. I could be 100% wrong, I have no idea of LL gets parts from Japan or not.
However LL estimates 2 weeks before shipping and as of yesterday they were still banging through orders from the 15th, Akihabara seems to be pretty close to caught up since I am order 1490 something and they are in the upper 1400 from what it looks like.
For the record my order just went from pending to processing and I ordered a few hours ago.

Your order will go out Friday or Monday the earliest. We are workign our hardest to ship as fast as possible but please have in mind SF4 is out and people are crazy ^^.

Log into the website and go to My Account. You can view your order there and it will display your order number.
I could do that. But I ordered a stick and parts via e-mail.
