I think Penguins are pretty cool, but they have a weak ass air game.
Yes, but don’t forget they have a +10 advantage in water and and +5 on Ice; almost complete immunity. A must have when you fight on the polar stage. I’m picking him up as one of my mains.
People are still in the dark about puffins. They’ve got a lot of the strengths that penguins have, but have an air game (which is nonexistent for the penguins). Some of their shared strengths are weaker for the puffins, but it hasn’t been determined if these balance nerfs outweigh the huge addition of fly/unfly.
Blah blah blah everyone is picking these low tier gimmicky characters that you’ll never see in competitive play. It’s not like the game is balanced or anything.
Oh yeah? Ten feathers says my mid-tier Hawk can take your peacock to the nest. As soon as I get my ebthl (egg-between-the-legs) bnb combo down for the Penguin, I’ll take your hummingbird on, too.

We all knew that the big bird’s air game was top tier, being almost impossible to catch in the stretch. Only recently has the sheer insanity of its ground game come to light. “But the Albatross has no ground game! That’s its weakness!” , everybody says. Well, they’re wrong. If you actually manage to down the Tross, you are going to get raped by its curse effect. It doesn’t matter that you’ve managed to bring it down.

^ Hmm… I think the best piece of advice I can give you is that you can’t try to play him like Crow. They look similar on paper, but in practice they just do better doing different things.

i dont know about you guys, but this dude was using owl today and he was fucking up my crane. cr. lk x2 into hoot swoop, then you can sj. cancel into ex hoot swoop… makes me think it might be an infinite… luckly cranes standing parry evades lows. that cr. lk of owl has to be the fastest low talon move aside from humminbird.
