Air Fighter 3: Bird Strike

Kiwi makes up for it with insane rushdown even if he can’t fly. The moment your opponent runs out of flight points and has to land, you can just get in there and be all over them. Penguin has trouble catching up even on the ground. Unless you’ve gone and iced up, and it’s hard to find an opportunity to do that.

Out of the non flight birds I think Cassowary is the best though. He might be slow but damn he hits hard.

But once penguin gets his infinite in, it’s game over.

Griffon is ban for tournament play right? I mean come on, it has four legs…that’s insane high and low mix up and not to mention boss character states.

And developer really need to fix Dodo birds time over glitch. Dodo always lose from time over, its just sad.

The game’s air dashes and hit detection seem really loose at this point, the animation is really good though.

I just got the Australian Bird DLC. Been using the Magpie a whole lot recently, no rushdown game, but his zoning is crazy. If you drop your guard at anytime prepare to eat Swoop every single time.

cool, can you tell us a bit about the game system? i think i saw air-dodges in that video.

Hi, I’m Yuri, one of the designers of the game, but mostly working with the gameplay fighting system. What you saw there are really air dodges. You can also execute them on the ground, but since you cannot block while on the air, dodging is the only option.
In a nutshell, CF is all about air combat. We have a combo system that only works while in the air; and because all characters are birds, we have a double jump and infinite air dashes.
We’re working on videos and ideas on how to explain the fighting mechanics, as it is an important factor when people consider buying fighting games. But it’s a pretty solid system with simple combos and numerous opportunities for linked combos, and more.
