As far as the server polling goes, looks like I am correct for my server of choice in 75% going Asmodian. May pick a diff server due to the zerg fest.

Also, if you were in beta, make sure your Aion account is updated with the new key so you are ready to go for pre-select and head start, or you’re screwed.

Can’t wait to gank some WoW and EQ folks who carebear’d PvP. DAoC PvP EXP > WoW/EQ PvP EXP.

So I finaly got that open beta to work. Turns out not updating windows for a couple years will make playing current games difficult. lol im a dope. Too bad that I only had like 12 hours to play it once I got it running. =(

This game is pretty sweet. It seems like it takes the best from multiple different mmo’s and mashes’em all up in this game. Makes for a good time. I’ll be getting it on the 22nd, or whenever the retail release is.

Apply the retail key to your account. A lot of people have not done that yet, and are still sporting beta keys.

Aion’s release is right around the corner, and our anticipation is running high! The beards and hairstyles of the character creator are groomed and lined up, jostling against each other in eagerness to be picked for your characters in this coming weekend’s Preselection and Head Start Programs.

Preselection is a benefit available to anyone who preordered Aion. If you are not sure whether or not you are eligible, simply log in to your NCsoft Master Account to verify that your game account is listed and your account type is not designated as “Beta”.

Starting 12:00 p.m. PDT (more) on September 18, 2009, eligible players will be able to start their game clients and log in to create a total of two characters ahead of everyone else. You can name and create these two characters through the standard character creator and be ready to play with these characters right when the game Head Start Program begins (but not beforehand). Preselection will end 9:00 a.m. PDT on September 20, 2009 (more).

Don’t miss this great opportunity to claim your character’s name before anyone else does. It isn’t too late to preorder, even if you have been holding out.

Dunno, it only lists as Preorder. I haven’t received any retail key yet, Standard nor Collector’s. It says "verify that your game account is listed and your account type is not designated as “Beta”. Technically, it’s not Beta…

If you ordered from any other source than NCsoft/Steam you will only have a preorder account. This is because you do not have a retail key yet. When you pick up your box (or receive your retail key via e-mail) on the 22nd; 25th if EU; there will be a retail key inside. You must apply this key on the 22nd, 25th if EU, or you will not be able to play until the key is applied.

apparently Israphel and Azphel are the 2 servers you want to avoid most. i’ll be rolling asmodean on Triniel.
