Dunno about GG/BB scene at the dojo. There’s a pretty strong group that plays regularly at DigiPen, so there isn’t any lack of place to play, and there are a lot of AWKWARD people in there. Just to let you know.

To anyone going to the dojo tonight, if you have a modded or import ps2 (needs to play Japanese games) or ps1/ps2 sticks, can you bring them? Doing so will buy my eternal gratitude (plus I’ll cover all your entry fees :tup:).

This is true. They’re not all like that, and it doesn’t have to be a bad thing, but it’s a lot less likely that you can socialize normally with any random player in that scene when compared to sf/tekken/whatever. I used to have a hard time socializing about ANYTHING other than the game at hand when I went to guilty gear meets, and IMO that crowd was even less awkward than the BB scene. :lol: Well, I did hear them talk about anime sometimes but I don’t really watch any anime so that was lost on me. Not tryna hate though, there’s good peoples in there too. And social people. Actually I can’t speak for blazblue, just the guilty gear kids.

Yeah, I was mainly referring to the BB crew. Most of the Guilty crew still playing are all the og cool cats. Aside from one or two oddballs, but those exist in any scene. Everyone was pretty friendly in the BB scene at least, and pretty much all the cool GG players bleed over into BB, so I think it would be cool if it happened at the dojo, but I think it’s unlikely.
I stopped playing blue when CS came out and my my main’s combos became 11-15 seconds long and Rachel went from a tier to “loses to Tager HARD”, while Bang went from total joke to retarded. Tight system changes, not tight balance changes. Smooth Criminal’s pretty cool, though :tup:
I’m hoping that the balance patch will fix some of those things. And yes Hazama is the man.
Sounds like the perfect oppertunity to swipe up some badges…pokemon style.

Yes, the BB scene is all young animu kids and yes the community at the dojo is THE BEST IN THE COUNTRY ( grill nights, tourneys, constant motivation, advice, FT10s, 5 set-ups, open spaces, doors always open) but I don’t feel the GG peoples are awkard =\ I agree most of them don’t wanna talk about dat ass or cars but I’ve enjoyed many good deep fun conversations/experiences with GG peoples over; drinks, food, Mariners games, Mt. Rainier ( 2 weeks ago Mt Rainier trip pictures by guambombboy - Photobucket ) films, and many other social event that are not GG related.
So, what I’d like to ask is for people to please not prejudge the GG scene based off of somebody Else’s experience/opinion. Albeit Elias is hella chill and easy going and a more than normal social guy ( in a good way), Elias’ claim is valid for Elias and I’d hope other people will at least give these people a chance as Elias did

Totally, you and Brandon are two reasons I even went down to Digipen as many times as I did. There are a lot of awesome people in the combined scene, especially the GG scene. Not intending to just throw out judgements or anything, but I think we both know most of the BB scene would be way out of place at the dojo.
Sorry, being brief/concise in the last post did not give a very fair view of our cousins at Dustloop. Haha
