Don’t worry Mr. Masters, if you wish, I can have sessions with you to teach you how to PROPERLY play Ken. Haha. I charge by the hour. 
word. I didnt come to the first afro dojo placement tourney even though Geift was basically drivin me there because i thought i wouldnt get a single round in. Its deff been a lil intimidating trying to come up in this scene w/ very lil fighting game knowledge to begin with but im confident that goin to the dojo more often and being with like minded people that wanna level up (and hopefully lend me some tips like KrazyKoreanFrank said and cole has been doin) will help me level up and in turn level up our local community.
All the new blood needs to realize, that you’ve gotta take your lumps. You have to swallow your pride, if you were the best on the block with your homies and want to take that next step towards competitive gaming you have to just get in the ring and get it over with, every single person in this scene has had to do it. We all (hopefully) remember how it’s like to be in that position. But once you get past that and start asking questions that’s when the real fun begins.
so in short, take your lumps and start to learn how to give them back.
It’s interesting to think about how much I lost when I first started coming out - it was pretty crazy.

Shit I took my lumps I remember my first time playing anyone on the scene it was Deezo on XBL and I was thinking alright ill get him here and there but he is incorporated with the scene and hes an OG from Spanaway so I know hes gonna be coming at me with some Ghetto ass Janky style and ya he beasted me 25 - 0 but that didnt really make me wanna quit or anything just made me want to get to know everyone so I could sneak up and start beasting my way through people
