So whats the word on Casual play?
I’m sure the majority of casuals will take place before the tournaments, but I’m expecting there will be space for casuals as well.
There will be tvs set aside for Casuals and plenty of time and space after 6pm.
What about Power, Reality, Mind, and Soul? Will we have plenty of those after 6 as well?
I’m pretty sure sanity will be in short supply, and hype will be in high demand. That’s as much as I can tell you at press time.
Aww damn man. Yall tourney is the same day as another AL tourney in Ohio. That happens way too much. This shit looks gdlk too…:shake:
come to ours anyway
major > local?
This.
This one’s going to be important. THIS TOURNAMENT COULD CHANGE YOUR LIFE!
Maybe I’m overdoing it?
nah man, nah
AR will be a life changing experience fosho.
If I’m not going to participate in the tourney, is there really reason for me to even come? I know I’m not good in any respects but I still like the high level of play.
I haven’t had any time to play SF4 in a long time and the only game I would try to enter would be BlazBlue. I always just came for the casual play but since there looks like there won’t really be any. I may just skip this one all together.
I needs to get better and actually be a real force in STL.
If you want to get better, enter the tournament. There are two types of players that play fighting games: the ones that only do casuals, and the ones that go to tournaments. If you enter the tournament, you will gain people’s respect and you will get a chance to play people that are better than you. Hell, I have a curse of going 0-2 at AR and I’m going to enter, because it’s fun. Playing at a tournament is different than playing casuals. It feels different. That’s why some players play better in tournaments, and some players play worse. Losing at a tournament to a good player is no shame, and think about the cred you’ll gain if you beat someone good.
And like Jeff said, there will be setups set aside for casuals.
What Mr. K is saying, I have yet to do anything big at a tournament. I won a match in the first AR in SF4, and one in Brawl, and that’s about it. I thought about what the point is in playing, but I remember the last time I played in one of the ranbats, all my matches were close.
Losing in the tournament also gave me some sort of drive to improve. Lately I have noticed a substantial change in the way I play, and the results of my play, so I’m hoping that will carry over in the tournament.
I really hope there is a good “casual scene.” I’m probably not going to get very far in the tourney so will be playing casuals the entire day. it’s a 9 hour roundtrip drive in one day… I just really want to avoid a scenario where I get knocked out of the tourney, then not many people are playing casuals, and i’m like eh… and drive home. it’ll be such a waste… maybe I shouldn’t make my first tournament this far away lol.
I’ll be playing sfiv casuals.
Man, no one got my Infinity Gems joke.
Rereads post Ooooohhhhhhhhh…ha, yeah, that’s pretty good.
Ok I’ll just ask this again(& again) since it didn’t get answered…
**
If we bring a T.V and/or console with a game do we get a discount?**
Will the finals have live feed with commentary also?
lol when i was reading it, this dude broke into my kitchen and yelled “INFINITY!!!”
Whats good with money matches in SF4? Or xbox360 mvc2? Or sthdr?
No. I’ll be contacting people individually to cover the consoles that I need, but I don’t want 75,000,000 people showing up with setups that aren’t need.
We’ll see what we can work for the finals stuff. Chounard…ya there? Hook it up playa!
