Weak = -8 frames
Medium = -10 frames
Heavy = -12 frames
2nd Rekka on block for AE and Super:
Weak= -6 frames
Medium = -8 frames
Heavy- -10 frames
Essentially they added -2 frames to all second rekka. But adding an additional less push back for less distance looks like throwing a 2nd rekka is gonna to be guaranteed to be punished. Wow! Most likely makes it harder to use it as a built in frame trap as well. Looks like we gotta be spot on with single rekka or hit confirm.
It’s probably going to turn the rekka into a single poke for most mid level players.
Am I understanding it correct that 2 x lp rekka can now be punished, no matter how deep it hits? Does the tip of the fist now not push back enough for safe chip?
If so, I’m thinking that’s a bigger nerf than I first thought.
Yes, it means that without hit confirm single rekka. You gotta stop. Not only is 2nd rekka has more recovery but also less push distance. Making the recovery even more compound due to a shorter space. This should guarantee punish for the entire cast if Fei uses 2nd rekka on block. Also, they halved the chip damage as well for 2nd or 3rd rekka.
Thankfully, I do have that single hit confirm down. I just now I have unlearn the powers of the built in frame traps of the original AE/Super rekka.
I wonder how Fei will stack up against the characters that will get “re-buffed” to their Super counterparts. I didn’t really use many St.LP Sweep combos so it won’t affect me. Less leniency on his BnB now.
The two big things for me is cr.MP and MK Flame kick damage nerf and the FADC on block @ -1. Some matches for me it’s really hard to get in like Chun/Guile and I need the damage to count.
Sucks how things came about, but it is what it is. I’m just gonna deal with it. At least this is more or less a “focus” test so it’s not final yet. I’m really curious to see how Yun gets nerfed now. I have this slight inkling that it won’t be as bad as Fei.
from what I read fei longs nerfs aren’t REALLY serious. the one I remember of the top of my head was the second hit of rekka getting more unsafe and a few slight damage nerfs. I don’t think he got hit TOO hard. He’s still gonna be a solid very strong character,
Sendmaster: that isnt the whole list of changes, head over to eventhubs to check them all out. The cl.mp > CW combo still works you cant do the loop on dudley anymore. I’m wondering though since they said the tooled with the hitboxes on CW will cl.mp > cw work on everyone now? lol that would be silly.
As far as the rekka frame traps go, they will still work but will carry a heavier risk with using them. Also like everyone has said, the hit confirm is now a must.

Looks like akuma took a hit too “Forward throw recovery has had two more frames added after an opponent has been thrown.” – no more safe jump for him after forward throw.
No worries :D, I saw that too. I’m excited about the palm no longer being an overhead too. Those two things are gonna hurt him, and hopefully make things alittle easier for us. Have you seen the Gouken buffs? You’ve got to be excited!
Yea bro, i am. My main big thing was lp.palm would whiff. Now the new hit box will be awesome. Gouken will have a true block string that break armor. Who know’s it might be a good AA or reversal.
I fear that the slight buffs to the other characters is going to make these nerfs hurt badly for fei players.
I’m still going to continue using Fei like I always have, but I thought they would at least going to give him one more buff to compensate for all of those nerfs.
