AE Changes and Comments

I normally use U1 but U2 is even less useful now.

Finally got another stick. I’m on #3. Ready to put AE to the test ans see what I can and can’t get away with.

For some reason I find electricity coming out faster after a jump kick. So something like j mk > mk > elec ends up being j mk > elec which does less damage. Maybe I’m just getting faster and pressing buttons.

Also crouching roundhouse trades with Blanka roll, strange.

it’s because there is an input buffer, a landing buffer where nothing can come out, and you are doing mk xx elec the not good way.

seriously… blanka’s overhead… have anybody EVER landed this against someone mediocre or above? … because seriously the move sucks so much that it doesn’t work on anyone other than noobs… the overhead takes so long that doing it as a meaty wakeup nearly the only option … will guarantee you eating a dp or something similar.

I land it on good players, but only because I run a mixup specifically to use it.

After sweep I do
dash, overhead(true meaty)
dash, whiff rockcrusher, cr.lk(trades with 3 frame crouch techs)
dash, whiff rockcrusher, throw/karathrow(throws crouch tech attemps)
dash, whiff rock crusher, late tech(techs throw attempts, blocks reversals)

It’s still ass even if you do this, I just do it to keep people honest and not always block low. It has a weird hitbox though and will trade with reversals sometimes.

Just seemed to come out faster in ae, but maybe i’m getting faster at button mashing. I can almost piano jab electricity now. So I’ll stick too my shortcuts until then.

JOL: if you have hard time pianoing… try sliding method… I find it much easier and I can basically do anything that pianoing can do.

Thanks LAU-HK, I do use slide when I need to jab into elec, but I don’t use it as often as I should probably because it’s not automatic or comfortable. I have to think about it first. Something I need to work on.

Yeah… like with everything it takes practice, once you’re used to it… it becomes second nature… now i can pretty much get c.LK into electricity, even c.MK into eletricity (although range sometimes becomes an issue… so i won’t recommend it), or sliding into a EX electricity with ease. I think the only thing i need to work on right now is the pre-buffered electricity Ves mentioned.

I didnt get a chance to read through the threads …but it seems to me that hp and ex ball are now safe for chun lee’s ultra 1 in AE

that makes no sense at all… simply because hp ball bounce back is super close now… but EX ball bounce back is regular range… they are completely different bounce back… unless chun li can’t punish any blanka ball bounce back on block… which i highly doubt i think it’s gotta do with timing…

true … its just the last two chuns i played weren’t able to punish with U1 , was able to block it … i thought they might have nerfed it … but i guess their timing was off …

I found out mp roll can be punished by ryu. :frowning:

yeah mp ball is super unsafe.

mp safeball is okay though.

Iv noticed … it maybe my timing but i cant punish hondas ex headram with ex or hp ball …

i think this wasnt possible in any SF4 version!
EX headram is safe vs blanka

yeap, you can’t even duck it! Block, jump, or knock him out of it with hk, lk , or lp.
