QFT. His Adon was not good, his 1 day of adon experience showed for sure…To say Adon takes no skill is just…i can’t even think of the word lol just give credit where credit is due, don’t discount GB because “no one knows the matchup” or “Adon takes no skill” just about every character takes skill to play in Super as far as I’m concerned
If Adon takes no skill, Rufus is the hardest character to learn.
If Adon takes no skill why is there only 2 that I can think of in the world that are good enough to place at tournaments.
While i totally agree that arturo is way out of line claiming adon requires no skill, his adon was actually good, nerd josh played like crap but arturos adon was pretty good. He had really nice pressure, particularly against nerd josh’s rufus.
I think trying to show other people a character doesn’t take “skill” just shows how salty someone is. Every character takes some sort of skill in this game. He got beat and beat GB the next day. Deal with it.
Yeah Sabin pissed me off with that. His adon was solid if you look at that game against blanka he had solid mixups while attacking only from the front because of electric thunder. That being said I would have liked to see him run into balrog or a good ryu and still win off of 1 day’s matchup experience. IMO half of what makes adon difficult is his matchups.
I doubt he’d pick that Adon @ the 8otb Any competent Bison, Guile, Balrog or Honda would have ended that Jaguar.
Oh don’t get me wrong, i lost a hefty amount of respect for him because of this and i actually found myself rooting for the fei long despite adon being my main, i was just saying i didn’t think it was fair that he said his adon was garbage.
Woah woah woah, calm down bro i was just saying that i expected him to play a lot worse after reading your original post. I don’t deny that the fact that his competition was not up to his personal level affected how well he played and i know that its easy for top level players to pick a char, learn their normals and combos and look competent with them(heck its not that hard for a scrub like me to do that)
And that final remark about my execution was uncalled for, yes, i still have problems hitting adons basic links consistently even though i have been playing him since april but that had no effect on the impression arturo left on me. I know he just did the basic stuff, but so did justin wong at evo 09 finals and he still pushed daigo to the brink of elimination, just cause he played adon at a basic level doesn’t take away from how he played.
- your memory is waaaay off . I dont know how you got it in your head that I somehow played Adon anything at evo…or on any teamspooky stream ever…i mean do you smoke more weed than me? because your memory is horrible. whatever helps your argument tho i guess? :looney:
Yet you sit here and broadcast to the whole forum about HOW MUCH YOU OBVIOUSLY DONT CARE but youre obviously sitting here posting. Good shit I respect the contradiction.
LOL at this comment. I forgot Min has been playing Fei-Long since vanilla. My bad. :looney:
reason why i picked up adon is cause i think its bs that his translator said adon is pretty hard to play (after i commented on how basic the characters strategy can be at times.) no knock torwards gamerbee at all. of course you take what second hand info you heard on the stream (Not even from my own mouth, cause its obviously secondhand info) as gospel. Nice.
but yeah then i found out what i learned at evo - hes pretty good against rufus. rofl
salty? hardly. gamerbee is a good player, obviously. I would know that because I played him at evo in…let me count… 6 separate money match sets at evo? + the high stakes roller tourney? So yeah stay salty and take my words out of context stream monsters
I’m glad you guys are pissed off though! Especially Unshaken Faith and QuertyHero, they got trolled so fucking hard. LOL @ you thinking that the Fei is actually his main. I <3 you guys.
Dr. Chaos: I would pick Adon but not against those 4 characters. I’ve been grinding matchups with those chars and those matchups are fucking horrible. I dont know how people who main adon specifically deal with those matchups. I like him vs Abel/Rufus though freeeeeeee.
btw, since that day 1, learned how to air jaguar better and gone some liinks down better. getting good to go, im gonna ask you for tips in some matchups chaos lol
we split the money anyway i hope you had fun rooting for absolutely nothing considering we were just fucking around and part of the same team. This goes for NerdJosh too. It cracks me up that you are actually analyzing the gameplay seriously when in fact, we were playing like we dont give a shit.
As if you know anything, stick to playing dhalsim and not posting so much.
Yes sir!
So the general consensus is that Bison, Guile, Balrog and Honda are Adon’s worst matchups?
You know, this trash talking is just pointless shit. I say if the guy wants to play Adon because of whatever the hell reason he wants is his call. I’m no ass kisser shit and don’t give a fuck about professional level, but you’ve got to respect the guy who has managed to play the way he played against what I consider the best in the world, Daigo.
The way we say it in my country, you speak with your controller, whatever you say with your mouth is shit, prove it with your playing.
The only think I would ask Sabin is to share whatever experiences he’s had with the character. The more the merrier. It just doesn’t matter who the info comes from and you’ve got to accept the fact that everyone is entitled to his own opinion even if you don’t agree with them.
Personally I think that Adon is a easy character to pick up play and difficult to use effectively.
I am trying to learn how to play Adon in SSF4.I just started today.
Maybe I do need some pointers in the Rufus and Blanka match which I lost:

Thx in advance everyone.
Well the first thing i will tell you is too many rising jaguars, you do way too many rising jaguars. The move doesn’t have a lot of priority or invincibility and it is very very unsafe I would advise you to cut down on the rising jaguars and use more jaguar kicks to apply pressure. Also the jaguar tooth is not a very good move, if your opponent is watching for it they can beat it with almost any move, for example at the end vs the ryu had he been watching for it he could have easily dp fadc ultra’d you.
Adon has some really good normals and pokes(at least imo) you should use those more often, cr.st and st.rh to be exact and maybe a little cr.fierce. Thats all i have bro.
The only time Arturo started playing Adon was Friday night, I was the only person trying out adon and it was mostly to give Min matchup experience. You’re crazy. Also anyone who thinks I’m ass I’ll gladly money match, I don’t think you guys know what a 3 way tie is.
Also goodshit for shouting out NAH Team Captain Sako in the same sentence as Daigo. I now know where you stand I mean sit.
