Michela is on my local news now. I think they still show Electric Playground on ABC randomly on the weekends but they only do 1 video game review now and the rest is either apps for smartphones, movies, gadgets, etc.

I always thought G4 was meant for video game nerds who think chicks like Blair Hurter, Jessica Chobot and Sara Underwood are true gamers and gods gift to television. Blair just sucks, Chobot looks like Cody Rhodes and Sara Underwood was in playboy and fanboys will drool over that bitch all day. Skimmed thread, feeling a bit surprised, hoping for clarification: Within the realm of… uhh, video game journalism, is Adam Sessler actually generally well-liked by the nebulous entity that is American avid video game players??
My only ever exposure to Adam Sessler was his glorious contribution to Evo commentary in 2010. He could very well be a legitimately wonderful person for all I know, but with only this tiny sample to go on, my best guess was and had to be that he’s basically the Ryan Seacrest of the video games industry.
In stark contrast to what I would have expected, the impression that I’m getting from this thread is that Adam Sessler is largely considered to be a True Cool Dude.
Checkout the links above to his soapboxes,he calls out the game industry on their bullshit and in his reviews whether you agree or disagree with his score he gives his personal reasons why he liked/didn’t like a game. At least you can tell he plays the games he reviews and would not be out of place on GD…which is a hell of lot more then I can say for most “gaming journalists”.
I didn’t particularly like the guy myself, but he did seem like the only one who really loved games on their.

Judgement day and the Electric Playground was tight as hell. So was Pulse, Arena and Players.I stoped caring about G4 when it went to shit with it’s programming discussions and when X-Play start giving out BS reviews alot later down the line. The last good show on G4 for me was Code Monkeys if anyone remembers that show.

AOTS is the STUPIDEST name I’ve heard of for a show in my LIFE. There lazy as fuck and named it the first thing that came out of there mouths. G4 is so fucking stupid that it’s humanly impossible for them to name it anything better. If they tried they would annihilate themselves and Chris Pirillo would rise from the ashes already tripping out on something and rebuild the set of Call For Help himself. I mean come ON.
