Just a question regarding GGXX:AC at Evo next year…

It’s only a matter of buying cheap PS2-to-GC converters or getting a stick when it comes out. I have no idea how the Japanese fit into the equation though!
There’d be no point. Using converters instead of just playing the PS2 one would only cause unnecessary lag, and it’d be easier to get access to PS2s anyway.
True, but I was guessing that the Wii version would be more of an arcade perfect port than the PS2 version because of the extra boost in the hardware. I’m off the idea of AC for Wii at Evo 2k8 for now…
I don’t think the Wii version is going to be any better or worse than the PS2 version. Either way, it’s beside the point. That discussion belongs in another thread, and shouldn’t even be had until there’s a final decision on whether or not EVO will hold its GG tourney as Accent Core at all.
Just like the last thread, the arguement has slowed to a halt. Both sides seem to have exhausted every possible point, and now we have to wait for someone to start name-dropping the EVO staff to get them to say something.
Or should we all just sit on it and bring it all up again once the game’s out in another 25 days?

I also dont see how integrity plays a part. Cuz you could easily say on the other hand, isnt it essential to have new games? How is playing a old game, that the fans/players dont even want going to up EVOs creditinals or whatever. Plus maybe its just me, but evo to me is just a big tournment. Its not the end all be all super integrity thing to me. This is the same tournment that one year it was single elimanation for half the day then all of the sudden it switched to 2 out of 3. That was a pretty big fuck you to all the players that played before hand wasnt it? Also what about all that apex crapola where some of the people that were supposed to be seeded ended up not even being seeded when it came to evo even though they were clearly on it.
Anyway yea not really trying to diss EVO or anything but this whole integrity of EVO sounds really corny concering something such as this.
Who the fuck gets a new game, and then says to themselves, im not going to play this for 3 months. Thats fucking retarded.
I also think its pretty retarded that the players are even being forced to do this so many times. This has happend like what 3 years in a row now? Each time the new game has one. The one year even though reload one we still played XX or some shit didnt we? Last year “we” won, and we got slash as we should have. And to that one reply give slash its due or whatever, thats what we “fought” for last year. To GIVE slash its due, so we wouldnt have to play that shit this year where its old. We wanted to play it when it was NEW when people acctualy gave a shit. Again you dont buy a new game, to not play it for a few months.

So I guess Accent Core wont be at Evo East. Guess I just wont sign up seeing I’m no good at Slash either. If Accent Core will be at Evo and I can actually find a team this time…then I may enter.
yeah but people just want new games. which obviously, the genre is lacking. only way to keep up with japan is adding it. so what happens if we stick with slash, and then run into the problem AGAIN next year and go with that newer game, then we just skipped AC completely. its just that the new ggxx games come out at shitty times.

I voted for Accent Core, if its slash i have no reason to go to evo finals, i want to play whats new and fresh not the same old game year after year, plus Accent Core finals would be much more exciting to watch on big screen than Slash. in anycase slash is new and as long as it hits its may 31st release date, theres no reason for the rest of the nation to not be in agreement and move on to the new version, and just let the qualifiers keep there spots and they will have to practice a new game.
