Joseph is the UK National champion (for the official tourney held back in 1994). He plays an awesome O.Sagat, similar to John Choi I guess.

The UK vs Japan 3s exhibition is today, and I was taken off the UK team cause I am too weak.
Yes I know I am shit at 3s, I am pretty much a newbie as far as 3s goes.
But I did legally qualify for that team by attending regular ranking battles for the past SIX MONTHS (well it must have been at least 10 different 3s tournies), and finished up cumulatively placing 3rd at the end of it.
I knew I would probably get owned by Japanese, even perfected (there’s always a chance though). But I wanted to fight, I wanted to play… I wanted to have fun and enjoy what I had been working so hard for 6 months to achieve (a year ago I couldn’t play 3s at all, now I am at least somewhat semi-decent). I know I am REALLY big headed and show off sometimes (especially with the Undertaker gimmick and “making people famous”), but mostly I think I am cool.
I did think about how bad it would look for TV crews to film such a raping, and how a lot of USA ppl would diss UK, but in the end I didn’t wanna chicken out, I didn’t wanna give up.
Justin Wong (sorry to bring up your name, but I only have good things to say about you ^^) also somehow qualified for USA vs Japan despite being considered shitty (not saying he IS shitty, I rate him pretty high myself) at 3s compared to other USA players.
Yes he did get owned by Japan/Tokido, but I finally respect him for at least having the guts to fight against such huge odds (against the japanese).
I WAS offered the spot back later (definitely not gonna deny that), but was far too pissed off to concentrate, so declined it.
I even grabbed the megaphone (even in front of Daigo and the other Japanese guys) and shouted “THIS IS BULLSHIT… I AM NEVER PLAYING 3RD STRIKE AGAIN!!” and then turned around and went home. :lame:
I am sorry to everyone there for the disruption my outburst may have caused to the tournament… but I had to do something to let people know something was up at the time (no one would care if they found out a week later), and my only other idea was to start kicking/punching the VS city cab (which would be no good for anyone :/).
I’m sure other people in my place would have been just as annoyed and maybe done something… I was really trying to hold back my anger for ages (megaphone thing didn’t happen until a bit later, just stood around sulking for a while then got a drink).
I am also sorry for any harm this incident may cause to ullysis himself and his website/organisation/operations. The big boss himself is very cool and had no knowledge about it (I didn’t tell him, as I didn’t wanna piss off or undermine next manz decision) until much later.
I meant what I said about third strike, at least for the foreseeable future. This MIGHT also be my cue to quit gaming for good and actually get a life (although it’s gonna be hard cause I have been so addict at not just one, but numerous fighting games for a very long time).
Anyway, results for 3s are: 1st Daigo, 2nd Izu, 3rd can’t remember.
3s 5on5 exhibition is still going on, and A3 5on5 will happen later.
btw this prolly doesn’t need to be said, but have NO ill feeling towards ANY of the Japanese players (I hope they didn’t misunderstand cause I was pointing the megaphone in their direction, towards the VS City cabinet… my bad, should have pointed it towards the centre of the room).
They were all pretty well behaved and are cool people. 
They prolly had no idea about the above.
Kuni and BAS are dope!!! I chilled with them quite a few times. Unfortunately I didn’t get to talk to the others that much.
I’m sorry if I spoiled the mood at all for you (really hope I didn’t), and I hope to see you all again someday, and hope you had fun in UK!

Can you provide more details, Chef? What exactly happened? You showed up and they said “well, you spent tons of time and effort and money to qualify and earn your spot, then you took the time and effort to come to this tournament and spent money to get here… but I, as some random tournament guy, have decided that you suck, so you don’t get shit after all”? Or what?
That ranks up there with the all time leaders in tournament bullshit, and would be easily #1 if it had affected more than one person.
Its a disgrace Chef was booted out just so Hon could put his hong kong mate in the team especally when Chef earned the right to be there.
Theres no justice in the world these days I tell thee.
