Depends on what country you’re in. In America, the going rate is about $2.50 a button.
Ok thanks, I’ll keep my eyes out for something priced like that. Should I avoid stores that ship out of china or am I being paranoid? Just saying I’d like a good price but I do want original buttons.
I’ve bought sanwa parts from a Chinese seller without problems. Just make sure it says authentic sanwa and not “perfect replace for sanwa” or something like that. Also check their feedback.
Once again, thanks for sharing your vast knowledge on the matter.
I’m in no hurry, stick arrives next week. Looked around for about a week till I found the best deal for me (85 euro).
But I do have some idea now what to look out for. So cheers and enjoy
Nah, man! My bad for reading wrong! I hope someone can answer you
Has anyone ordered from nikingstore yet? http://www.nikingstore.com/shop/
Thinking about ordering a stick and buttons from there as the price is reasonable and seems legit in my opinion.
Can anyone tell me how I might go about adding LED lighting to the stick/ball top on a Madcatz TE2 provided that I’m already planning on getting the Madcatz LED PCB for the buttons? Well, I don’t need specifics, I more or less want to know if it’s an easy job or a hard job.

I don’t think the MadCatz LED PCB even has an Out for the joystick. You’ll want the LVT3 by ParadiseArcade and you’ll also probably need to hollow out your lever’s shaft if I’m not mistaken.
No, it doesn’t have any power out at all… And the LVT3 would be nice, but is certainly out of my price range at the moment.
I thought maybe there was some way I could splice into the Madcatz LED PCB harness or something.

Can Sanwa OBSN-24 be mounted in material with a thickness of 4 mm?
Are all rock candy controllers common ground? I’ve only read stuff on the xbox version, want to make sure the PS3 version is also common ground.
I Wanna get a new Stick for ps4/ps3 use, was using a quanba Q1 for my ps3 and pc.but I’m kinda getting sick of using a pad for MKX.looking for slightly bigger stick to.Is there an recommendations for the best current dual ps3/4 stick out there? looked up HORI Real Arcade Pro 4 Kai.but was told there might be something better
MadCatz TE2 if you wanna do modifications without voiding warranty.
HRAP4 Kai if you want a sturdier stick with less out-of-the-box problems.
I just bought a Mayflash stick from Amazon a few days ago as I’m fairly new to modding and don’t want to possibly ruin a $120+ stick from my simple lack of knowledge.
What are the best guides out there? Especially about the soldering, as I’d be scared to mess it up.
Where can I print my layout at and what should I print it on?

Not totally sure what you mean by layout. If by layout you mean the artwork that goes out on the top panel, if you plan to DIY you can just go to a kinkos and print it. You’ll need to find a template of the top panel as well as a plexiglass (the top looks like bare plastic). Alternatively you can get art and plexi laser printed and cut via tek-innovations.com, but I’m not sure if a template for Mayflash sticks exists anywhere (correct me if I’m wrong, anybody).
If you want my 2 cents, you should have just gotten an actual stick. Modding really isn’t that hard if you’re willing to learn and Mayflash sticks are a case of get what you pay for according to what I’ve read (again, anybody feel free to correct me) and they don’t seem to be very easily moddable right out of the box. Just to replace those evil mayflash buttons for tournament-standard sanwas requires dremeling the case. Just my thoughts, but you should trust yourself more! I was scared with my first mod too and now I could probably even build a whole arcade stick out of mdf wood and spare buttons. Probably, lol.
The main reason I bought this is that I knew that I was going to mod it and make it ‘my own’ if that makes any sense. I mean sure - I know I should have gotten an actual stick and there is some that are easier to mod, but that just adds to the fun for me while also learning a lot in the process.
No shame in that, if you have the money to spend. It’s the same thing I did when I started but I also recommend you get some project kits to practice soldering (like This one).
The best way to get good is to practice a LOT so search for projects online. Also some perfboard and components (led’s, resistors, ect) will go a long way in helping you with execution but have something to build, it will be more enjoyable than soldering pell-mell on a blank board (even though you can do that).
ALSO, get padhacking some controllers (maybe you want to add 360 support to the mayflash? That’s a project!)
Is it possible to use a PS360+ Fightstick with the SFV beta (regardless of the 8 min timeout)? I tried to force my PS360+ into PS4 mode yesterday by holding 1P+1K while plugging it into my PS4, but I didn’t get any input response when trying to navigate passed the main menu screen that says “press any button”. I know the servers were having some issues yesterday so I wasn’t able to test it out passed that screen. I just want to confirm if its even possible to use a PS360+ Fightstick on the SFV beta and if so is there any special steps I have to take to get it to work? Like, can I only use my PS360+ during the character select screen and gameplay but not during any other screen?
I’d have no use for 360 support as I don’t own one
although I’d like to eventually add LEDs under transparent buttons and have them become brighter when you’re pressing the button down…but that’s for the future
How did you go across wire management or is the inside of your modded stick a mess? I’ve seen a lot of people not really care about how tidy their wires are.
