That mostly correct, and it is the text book answer.
There is a way to make Happ joysticks fit a TE, but you have to do alot of modification to both the TE and to the Happ joystick to make them work. Unless your experience with metal work, it isn’t recommended.
Also the way a Happ joystick fits in a wooden panel (as wooden panels are thick), they become shorter not longer than Japanese joysticks.

There are Batop handles for Japanese sticks, I would try that first without touching an extender.

Will the TE round 1 work on PS4 SFV? I found a TE ROUND 1 on offer up but don’t wanna cop til I know it’ll work with ps4

not 100% sure. but the majority of ps3 sticks seem to work in legacy mode. its kind of annoying to deal with though

What’s legacy mode? I’m new to all this. I wanna mod the TE round 1 with LED buttons too. Haven’t been able to find the mods for the TE round 1 only for the TE2+

looks at the above three posts, wonder are these legit posts or trolls
:coffee:

Using the search bar or using google and typing in “site:shoryuken.com” before your search terms works wonders.

Dude u just had to be the asshole. Chill Bruh. Don’t worry bout what I post. I didn’t wanna search. No trolls here. I clearly said I’m new. Plus I don’t have time to sit and scroll thru 127 pages of questions. Maybe you have time for that, but not me. So once again chill don’t worry bout WTF I post.

It’s always some asshole quick to say “search search”. Search deez nuts

:coffee:

Today on shoryuken dot com I learned that being new means you’re entitled to having your hand held.

I’ll spell it out for you.

Legacy mode is a feature that certain PS4 games have that let you use some PS3 controllers while you are plsying said game. It can’t be used to navigate the PS4 home menu and is a bit more of a hassle to set up (depending on how it’s implemented) than just plugging in a PS4 stick

If you want to LED mode your stick, get a kit from Paradise Arcade Shop and get some clear buttons.

Damn. 4 posts in and you’re swingin’ yo rep like an OG on GD. Dude, GTFO if you’re gonna be that salty.

follow your own advice brah.

I tried, the results came back as none found.

No one said look though 127 pages.
What I said was your google fu was weak and I am not going to repeat what was said thousands of times over.

As soon as your two only braincells stop arguing, use them to home in on the one post that has your question.
I don’t do hand holding, you are not pretty enough for me.

Lol y’all funny. I don’t want smoke #respect. I got so many specific questions though.

BolSadguy, paradise arcade shop only has the LED mod for the TE2+ fightstick. The LVT3 is the board. They are sold out of that one for another 2 to 3 weeks or so. I’m def gonna do this mod on my TE2+

I inquired if the TE round one will work with the PS4 because IF SO, i plan on buying one from offer up. I want to know if THIS fightstick is LED Modable. I don’t think the LVT3 will work on the TE round 1. Looks like I have more researching and searching to do.

There are other led kits on pas besides the LVT3…

So, I’m ordering the IST Pre-Installed Brook PS3/PS4 Fight Board PCB Kit for my broken TES+ stick just because I know it will be easier for someone like me who has no idea what they’re doing haha. My only concern is when it comes to the home button, the leds for the players, and all the buttons that are connected to a chip that connects to the current pcb. How will I or how can I connect those to the new pcb?

If you don’t have experience with modding sticks that will probably not be a fun time. You’re gonna end up cutting wires and needing to solder. That’s the only way to keep all those aux things in use. I remember seeing Jasen was working on a EZ mod for it. That is going to be your best bet. And it will save you a lot of head aches.

Does anyone have the Qanba Q4Raf Ice Red and can tell me if the balltop color is red or vermillion ? I really like the color and I want to buy buttons and a balltop of the same shade for an arcade control panel. Thanks.

Edit- answered elsewhere

Hey bois, I found a guy selling a madcatz tournament edition for xbox360 at around 75 dollars, is it a good deal? Im tempted to get more money for the stick, idk how much he used it, it has the buttons that came with the stick, the only mod it has it’s a octagonal gate. Is the price good for what it has?
How easy is to mod that thing and how much quality does the stick has. It’s my first stick btw, planning it to use it more for pc tho

Edit: Someone just bought the fightstick right before I was gonna message the seller. I want to kms :frowning:

A TE for 75 is good. Stupid easy to mod.

I just got myself a Hrap 4 from someone for 80$. I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for custom art commissions too and just ideas for customizing it in a star wars themed stick. Also any suggestions for improving the fightstick as a whole? And what size balltop and buttons would I need? I’m a beginner at this so just any point in the right direction will help a lot!

Make sure you read slagcoin.com, its more in depth that you need for your project but its required reading around here, and it give you a good basis for knowledge.
Also utilize the search function here or use google by typing “site:shoryuken.com” before your search terms

Make use of the [Intro page](Info Thread: Rules, FAQs and Tutorials Inside. (READ THIS BEFORE HITTING THAT NEW THREAD BUTTON!) there tons of guides, FAQs and work logs linked there

For the Hori Hrap 4 (and most Japanese sticks)
Buttons are a standard 30mm except for the start button which is 24mm
Ball tops are typically 35mm, but larger 45mm ball tops do exist.
Bat tops are also an option, Bat tops and 45mm ball tops need a Battop adapter.

Which parts you use are mostly up to personal preference, but most people here use Sanwa or Seimitsu buttons.
