That sound is definitely not correct. I would expect that sound if you were knocking against the gate, but it’s happening before you even hit the switches. You might want to check to see if the switches are mounted and secured properly. The throw seems really long compared the the Hayabusa that I have in my VLX.
Well I don’t know if I should pop it open. It will void warranty, as is I can just return it to Amazon

If you are concerned about the warranty, then by all means, return it.

Huh, I have the same issue with my HRAP4 Kai.
That’s not good. Hori usually has good quality… What’s going on here

Opened it up and disassembled the lever. Nothing seems to be wrong with it, could just be paranoia. It does seem a bit loose, tho. There’s a bit of wiggle room when moving it before it hits a microswitch.
Luck of the draw, probably. My Hayabusa’s fine.
That’s normal. The Hayabusa was designed for reduced fiction on the pivot. Less friction means less force required.
Also normal. This area is called the deadzone, where an actuator can move from neutral and even touch a switch head without activating it. My Hayabusa and even the several JLFs I own have this.

@SHSL_Street_Fighter Yeah I figured as much. I kinda wanna put a 2lb spring on it but I don’t wanna pay for separate shipping. Shoulda just added it to my previous FA order. x_x

I did the same thing with mine and tried removing parts to see if that was the cause. The closest that I got was after reassembly, it seemed like one of my switches wasn’t set in the stick correctly, so I got the tap from the gate and a delayed click from the switch. That’s a possibility
Was your stick mounted tightly to the panel?

Yeah, it was.
@Darksakul Yeah lol figures
im not sure if you are referring to mine. but at first i thought it might just be my ocd so i decided to post here along with videos. im now packing it to return to amazon. maybe i can try the silent version next time.
Everyones Joystick.
As long as your inputs come out fine, your joystick is going to make noise and have whats called a neutral or dead zone in the center. Its all normal.
Just everyone relax and play some video games.
Are both versions of the PDP MKX pad common ground? I’ve only ever seen mods done with the Xbox version.
Also, has there been any confirmation on whether or not the Hori Mini 4 requires diodes?
Will the Hori Fighting Commander 4 work on PC with SFV without using third party software? i.e., can you just plug it in and it will work with SFV and you can bind your buttons in game?
Until recently, no. But, ps3 didn’t work on ps4 until recently either but looks like it will thanks to a launch day patch
Both are common ground but ps4 one holds signals high when it’s not being used making it look like all the buttons are pressed.
By itaelf, the PS one is fine but if dual modding then you have to put diodes on every signal line.
Last I heard the hori does need diode but not sure on the details
Anyone happen to know which one is home on the xb1 te2 harness?
Also, does it need power? If so, anyone know which one is power? Lol
So im making my stick korean style with a brook board which i believe is common ground, (right?) and i cant find a ground wire that goes into multiple .187 disconnects for my buttons and joystick. am i just not looking hard enough? sorry new to this whole modding thing, also new to korean sticks.
