dunno if this is the right thread but i jjust got a HRAP3 last week and like to play 3s and hopefully ggpo once i get the hang of the stick.
regarding how to hold it, atm I have my index and middle finger on top of the stick and 4th and 5th finger basically resting under the stick (top=up and under=down on the stick in this description). My thumb is on the balltop and helps alot with the movements.
atm i can imagine every motion feeling effortless/natural with enough practise apart from when I dash left. I say this is because i can do every other motion over and over again wtih my hand still relaxed but when dahsing left, on repetition, the actions either get slower (dash won’t come out) or i feel my hand starting to tense up. As a result, it has become the only motion where i use my arm rather than my wrist/fingers.
any advise? if i just have to practise more just say so but I’m not sure if im using my stick correctly.
I have a question, i got a new stick in my SE around may(sanwa), things worked good up until today, its stuck in the down direction and when i randomly do 360’s on it it may be move to another direction so my question is , is my pcb board messed up? is it the switches? i have a pic of my board, im not sure if its in good shape., do i need to get a new pcb? or am i totally screwed and need to buy a whole new arcade stick.
Quick question, is there any guide to dual modding my PS3 TE? I’ve searched and looked all over tech talk but no one actually explains it in a manner I can understand. I know I’ll need a xbox pad, but where and how do I wire it up?
Well i opened my stick up earlier and took it apart and put it back and the squeaking stopped, in my ears atleast, but i have another question. Do HRAPs feel hollow? i recently got one for the first time and i cant tell if its the seimitsu parts or just the case itself. would filling the base up with clay or something make it sound and feel less hollow? (end dumb question)
anyone know of any tutorials on how to use a P360 joystick on a 360 fightpad.
I would like to know if there’s a way to get power from the fightpad for the p360
so i wont have to use an external power source.
just a quick question, i wasn’t too sure where to ask it. i wanted to know if i’d be able to dual mod my 360 TE on my own without ruining it. or would it be generally suggested to just have it done by someone that knows how since i’ve never done so on my own?
Well, if you know how to solder then it would be easy as installing the chIMP board. But if you have no experience with that kind of thing, then I’d recommend you get someone to do it for you. Here’s a wiring diagram by toodles himself, if you feel confident enough to wire up that many points then you should be fine.
well i stupidly bought the newegg deal for the 100$ TE stick for PS3 when i actually wanted the 360 version. oops…
so i figured i might try to mod it to work on both. is it possible to mod a PS3 stick to also work on 360? or only the other way around? i have a madcatz fight pad for 360 that i can hack up if i need to.
the problem is i have absolutely no experience doing any kind of modding, is there anywhere i can get step by step instructions for this kind of project? or do you guys recommend i get someone to do it for me? what are all the parts i would need?
any help or useful links would be GREATLY appreciated, thank you guys
Hi guys, do you know if this stick can be modded. If so, could you send me the link in Tech Talk please? I have used the search option “Soul Calibur stick 360” but I get too many results.
Thank you very much
HRAPs tend to feel hollow, at least compared to the TE. It’s because the case itself has really nothing in it. If you open it up and put something in there to absorb vibrations, it should sound less hollow.
This is a pretty technical mod, so it would be best to get someone to do it. Here are a few threads to show how it is done, see if they help. One Two
It’s the same stick as the DOA one, here’s a threadon how to mod it. It’s a bit more difficult to mod since the buttons are soldered on and the PCB isn’t common ground.
Could somebody tell me how to unassemble a madcatz SE fightsitck? and how did you place artwork on it?
And what kind of components are it. I’m curious about the joystick.

I’m just about to buy an Xbox 360. I really want to keep using this stick for KOF XII/Garou/SFIV/BB. Are there any PS2 to 360 converters that don’t have any onput lag?
