Cheaper on Amazon since Gameshark charges ~$10-15 for shipping last I checked.

Lol, I was hoping someone on here would know :stuck_out_tongue: and thanks, do you know where I could find them?

Find what? A good deal on sticks? Amazon had an amazing one that ended about a few days ago. What kind of stick are you looking for and what price range? I assume brand new only right?

Keep an eye out during the last “Road to EVO” event (CEO 2013 - June 28-30)… Since Mad Catz is a sponsor, I wouldn’t be surprised if they have another weekend sale.

My question: I’m moving out in September, and will be in the market for a new TV. I’m thinking I really want to go plasma, because I’ve found that motion blur on the LCDs/LEDs drives me absolutely crazy. That, and I’d rather worry about any problems plasma might have, than worry about things like color uniformity and things of that nature.

However, the plasma market doesn’t really have the kind of options the LCDs have in regards to input lag. I know there have been LCDs in the last couple years that can do 22ms or even 16ms of lag. The only option I’ve seen with plasmas is the Panasonic S30, which is a few years old, and has issues of its own from what I’ve read.

The only option I’m seeing this year is the Panasonic S60/S64. It clocks in at 34.1ms of lag, both at HDMI and Component (based on a user’s rough Rock Band 2 calibration).

Is the S60 really my only option? That is, unless I feel inclined to hunt down a 3 year old TV without a warrantee?

As a note, I’m not a hardcore fighting game fan (unless we can include Smash Bros.), but I do play games that require quick reflexes like Rayman Origins, Donkey Kong Country Returns, a shooter here and there, and others. I won’t really be doing any twitch retro gaming on this TV, after being spoiled in a Mario speedrun competition last week on a CRT :P.

I’d love to hear from anyone who has the S60/S64 and how their gaming has been.

Keep in mind the non-LED LCD screen HDTVs are being phased out, and the LED TVs are better than the older CCFT lit TVs.
Watch out for image burn on Plasma.

Please help.
I just bought a new PS3 Hori DOA5 stick, at the bottom of stick, it does not have any Warranty sticker. Do I get a used product?

Will PS4 support PS3 joystick?

thanks

  1. Did you buy it new? Or did you buy it used? That, only you can answer.
  2. Nobody knows. Sony says “Should work” and Madcatz said "PS4 needs all new peripherals"
    Sony’s statement = unsure.
Madcatz doesn’t answer the question, just says that PS4 will have new peripherals - which doesn’t mean that PS3 stuff wont work. I mean… PS4 features wont work, of course, which is the same as saying that sixaxis controls wont magically appear in a PS2 pad using a PS2>PS3 converter.

What is the condition of the RETAIL box (the box the stick would be in at the store) your stick was shipped in?
Who did you buy it from?

I bought it from online store, I just checked a unboxing video of Hori TT2 stick, I found this stick without sticker out of the box http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dLziYqQ_ri4

hope these two sticks released in the same Month and should be the same. the unboxing video of Doa5 stick did not show the bottom of the stick… Any Doa5 stick owner can answer me? thanks

Well please answer my question then Short Bus. A sticker will tell you nothing, if the new stick came with a sticker, a used stick would have it too.

What Online Store?
Hori USA, eBay, Amazon, NewEgg, Best Buy, there more online stores that there are people in the US, about 801,000,000 online stores according to google search.

Did the stick came in its retail box? If it did was the Box sealed?
Did your stick came with all the cardboard and trash the unboxing video did?
Does it have any scratches or scuff marks?

I am buying new buttons for my madcatz tatsunoko vs capcom wii fight stick. I just wanted to make sure before I buy new ones, the OBSF-30 sanwa buttons are the size i want right? like 30mm(i think there measured in mm idk) and not some other size?

Yes.

Your “madcatz tatsunoko vs capcom wii fight stick” uses 30 mm push buttons, so if you want sanwa buttons the are perfect for you.

And yes Japanese parts are sized in metric measurements, in this case millimeters.

It is Happ parts that are sized in SAE.

Okay, and what about joystick? should i get a sanwa JLF-TP-8YT joystick? I know i wanted to atleast change the restrictor gate for an octagonal one instead of a square because i prefer that more. But does an actual sanwa joystick perform a lot better than the one in the tvc fight stick?

Should I just change the square gate to an octagonal? or does actually changing joystick make a difference?

ok, so trying to still fix that issue im having with the Cerberus dualmod chip on my SFXT VS stick where the joystick is constantly going left.

my buddy redid the directions and an orange ground wire that came out. but now the joystick is getting no power at all, is the ground wire supposed to be soldered to both GND and SGND spots? thats how it was set.

Yes

You feel the actual difference with an authentic Sanwa Joystick. You can try to go to a Octo gate, but most Serious Modders and Tourney Pros agree the Square gate is the better gate.
Octo gate is like $5, so why not experiment, if it does not work out you can always swap the gates back.

You could also get an Octo insert for like $2 if you’re REALLY scrounging for dollars and cents.

I prefer Octo for most 2D fighters because I grew up on American P360s and circle gates just feel wack to me. Square is trash for me… I can’t neutral jump for shit…

I prefer square for Tekken and Super Turbo only. BDC’s are easier for me on square and playing Cammy and charge characters, the corners are just easier to do things with. Though, if I have a non-square gate for Super Turbo, then I get to pick Hawk and have fun with scrubs.

Well I went with the closest whole dollar price of the whole gate, and not the insert. Also not everyone is very good at swaping Sanwa gate inserts.

Push, twist, pull?

Hate to see what they can’t do to their woman…

So I’m thinking of building a custom hitbox and if I use the MC Cthulhu PCB or the ps360+ how do I wire the ground? Just daisy chain for every button and then to the ground on the PCB?
