can someone explain the basics process of creating art work

any one know how to set ups a 8220 scaler. Is there anything besides the scaler i need for it to work on my monitor.

sup guys,

since this is the ABOSOLUTE NOOBIE thread im gonna be super noobie so i apologize lol…you see,im kind of technology noobish and i wanted to ask some questions:

  1. Can anybody point me in the direction of a good website/online glossary of technology terms? (pertaining to computers, tv’s etc.)
  2. I want to get into stick modding and some other types of modding so could anybody point me to a beginner stick building/modding thread? either here on SRK or other sites would be awesome!!

thanks guys!! im sorry for the noobishness

I do not know about the computers and televisions.
But for Arcade Sticks, everything you need is in the FAQ that is Sticky.

exactly what i was going for !!! :china: quick question: how do you guys do the artwork for sticks?? is it just photoshop or some other software?? again sorry for the noobishness

The wires connecting to my joystick to my PCB on my HRAP EX-SE broke off. Does anyone know if its possible to change it to a wiring harness and use a Sanwa JLF instead?

Cannot.
HRAP EX SE is non-Common Ground.

Thank you for the reply

Hello first post, I recently purchased a Madcatz TE-S Black arcade stick i have had it for about two weeks. With in the past few days I have noticed that the stick will not turn on my xbox, it also will not power on when I turn on my xbox by hand. I always have to unplug the stick and then plug it back in for it to turn on. This is my first stick will Madcatz replace it or does anyone know a simple fix or what might be the problem?

What chimp should I buy so i can dual mod my 360 fightstick to work on a ps3?

There is only one available.
ChImp SMD.

Places like Gremlins still only sell the original ChImp board, so maybe that’s what he is referring to.

But yeah, get the ChImp SMD version if you can. Order directly from Toodles here:

Is there a way to remove the stock Mad Catz TE-S USB cord and replace it with a detachable one? Let me re-phrase, a relatively easy way to do it?

That is Normal, most 3rd party controllers can’t power on a Console by hitting the guide/home button

See jdm714 post as there no older model chimps in production.
I didn’t know Gremlins still had a stock of the old ChImps, then again I never shop from Gremlins before.
Ether way your better off with the newer ChImp SMD, as the new chimp is a very straight forwards and easy install. Also the new Chimp SMD does not require soldering

You can get the current ChImp SMD directly from toodles http://www.godlikecontrols.com/order.html

Good news and bad news. Good news it my Cthulhu is still working on PS3/PC, bad news it’s not working on 360. The problem has to be between the Cthulhu and the Imp v2, maybe I just have two points touching. :s

I want to see pictures of your current setup.
Last picture you posted was BrawlPad.
And you asked Sparky PWM SMD.

I can definitely do that, and as you can probably guess I currently don’t have the Sparky installed. I figured I might as well take it one step at a time!
[spoiler=Messy wiring, yay! Not for the faint of internet!]
