Well I checked before I poped shit just to cover my ass, but didn’t see anything. The tourney announcments in there would mainly benefit out of town people and people we don’t know. It looks like Yushiro checks this thread pretty regular… dunno about those Davis guys. They might benefit from posts in there. Especially if the tourneys are gonna go into Apex it feels shady for them to be almost secret.
JP: Have you started playing FFTA yet? I’ve played about 2 hours so far and already some of the battle system is pissing me off. It doesn’t seem as good as Advance Wars 2. The way that turns are based on a char’s speed kinda screws up your strategy. If you have magic that affects bystanders you can’t plan your strat very well cuz you don’t know when you’ll be getting your chance to use that. I just noticed as I was turning it off that you can set the L button to tell you turn order, but the game doesn’t tell you and it seems really unintuitive. It also seems to hard to look up the opp’s stats. And you can’t check your opp’s movement range.
Actually it’s being held by a shit load of sponsers…not just SD. This will probably one of the biggest LV (even Nevada) tournies in years. Only 15 bucks to get in for that one day, not 45…unless you wanna go to the event for 3-days in a row.
You would have to check the sc.com to see what the prizes are n stuff. The good thing about this tourney is that it is free.
Wish they would sponsor some other fighting games as well. ghei

Anywho, yea next tourney I will post it in the tourney forums, for the hell of it since well you’re right. The problem is, well, people don’t wanna drive to Atlantis or doesn’t have any idea how to get here :(. Anyway, I will post it tonight since I have time. Also on the side note. Is being level 45 at chapt1 beginning of chapt2 in FFTactics and at lvl 45 normal in FFTactics and can you still learn yell in FFTA?? Is it the same game or different? Just wondering hehe.

I’ve got bad news for everybody… Final Fantasy Tactics Advance sucks my ass. The battle system seems really dumb to me… and since that is basically the whole game well… I don’t think I’ll be playing it much longer. Advance Wars 2 has spoiled me.
JP, I never played the original FFT so I don’t know. The advance version is not the same game though. From what I’ve read in reviews, one of the big differences in the Judge. The judge is this homo who makes random rules for the battles. That isn’t so bad, but he also randomly dicks you over. You can position a char with their back to a dead body so that they will have better defense and then the Judge can just randomly move the body so your plan was pointless. What is the point of having a “strategy” game that has random elements? I’ll try to remember to bring my GBA up with me and I’ll show it to you.
FFT > FFTA
I was going to buy FFTA, but I was bored and tried the ROM first. I realized this game was a total fucking joke when one of the little bastards goes…
“Wouldn’t it be soooo cool if we could be in a video game, just like Final Fantasy!!!”
And the whole judge thing…wtf.
Maybe I am just being harsh, but how do you go from totally ph@ FFT to this garbage. I’d rather play Kid Kool in an endless loop for the rest of my life than put any effort into this waste of a perfectly good cartridge.

Hey guys, post your ideas about making reno crew better. we’re already doing really well in alot of games, but let’s figure out how to become even stronger.
I think we should all get together sometime and just hang out. No, seriously! There is no Reno Crew if we all don’t get along, and if we all just go out to some movie or something, then we get to know each other better, and can start to build relationships, and work together to become a stronger crew.
If we just play games every friday/saturday, then all we do is just get used to other peoples strategies, and never really improve. If we can build relationships and teach each other things we don’t know, then I think that would help immensly.
