i was figurin you guys could help me out. i figured since he has so many similarities to alex that they would play the same, and i guess they kinda do. I’m having a lot of trouble not only getting in, but staying in. confused on a couple things: how should i be using his roll? good pokes? understanding on some basic matchups (shotos/sagat mostly.) thanks
You can use his roll in many ways. Most important 2 are rolling to escape from the corner, preferebly EX and using it in mixups.
An example is, step kick, cr.jb, cr.jb xx medium roll, cr.fierce xx light roll, reset and start over.
With the medium roll you end up on the other side.
If you want to stay in use step kick for alot of pressure and bait those SRKs.
His best poke by far is st.lk. Use it to counter poke.
Against shotos your best bet is to try to get in with light roll through fireballs.
After that you just try to get in the tornado throw, if they’re down, try to keep it that way with mixups.
