I’m pretty good with abel but I’ll take any advice anyone has. my hardest matchup right now is a good blanka/honda and a good fuerte. Haven’t had too many gief problems luckily.
I’m starting to pick up Abel and need help just getting better at certain match-ups. I main Blanka but I’m having a lot of fun playing Abel. 360 GT - GoAt RyDa

I’d love to get better at Abel, because I liked Alex in 3S and they have a kind of similar vibe to them. I’m learning stuff from reading around here, but I’m still a pretty crappy Abel. You’ve got my gamertag if you want to help me practice:rofl:
I think I’m a pretty decent Abel player, alot of people on XBL have told me that I’m one of the best they’ve played, probably due to the lack of them on XBL. But in any case, I want to get better in my execution and overall skill. I use a fight pad btw, I suck with sticks.

Tried out abel when the game first came out and put him on hold, but picked him back up in the last few weeks and have been tearin it up. He’s slowly becomming my main and I just need help on making better situational decisions (when to come in, when it’s better to just hang back and play defense, etc.). My execution is above average, though I wouldn’t consider it really good (Most of the time I do what I’m trying to do and I don’t really have any problems with fadc’s or f.mk links). I use some basic mixups and am starting to figure out the power of mind games.
But yeah, just looking for the experience. Thanks a lot!
edit: I don’t mind playing with new abel players either. I’m not sure how much I can teach them since abel isn’t quite my main yet, but if you guys want to play and just see if you can pick up anything I’m all for it.
edit2: My main is (or will used to have been once I master abel!) Balrog, so if any of you are looking for a rog to fight then I’m down too. Just let me know.

I’m not sure if you remember me but I played some games with you a few days to a week ago. We had some good games. Your Abel is good it helped me improve with mine.
Anyways, my gamertag is mersaneri. I’m maining Abel and still trying to improve with him. I would say I’m decent enough with him to play well but still have to get it down to the point where I’m playing at a good level consistently rather than at times playing poor.

Do you mind sharing what the f.mk -> c.lp string was? I know it’s probably something basic but my lazy ass can’t really find it.
Anyways, I learned a lot and know what I need to work on now (I think haha). Believe it or not, I have better execution and actually know some decent mix-ups than shown haha. But I guess it’s a lot easier in training mode or playing with not-so-good people than playing with somebody who knows what they’re doing. Nerves I guess

I took quite a beating today. There was a certain point where you were winning games and I just lost my momentum. Was doing stupid shit. Have learnt some other shit though so props for that.
EDIT: When I wasn’t moving it was because I had to answer the door. I wasn’t trying to cheat or anything.

Yep, yep, learned some shit too so I too can say thanks aswell…although I still can’t do the FADC into Ultra to save my life in match.
I was doing cr.fp a lot to try to incorperate it as a “poke” at close range and work on the follow ups, but because my hit confirms still need work I was losing a lot to that to.
It’s all good about the not moving thing. It’s on-line so if I’m in a game and they stop and I usually stop and wait until things get rolling again. My stick suddenly worked fine for the rest of the night too lol.

Yep yep. As I said, my defense is utter crap (although as my title stated, “In Training”) so that contributed to most of my losses.
You suprised me with some of the stuff you did, as I felt like I couldn’t just rush in blindly, but I also suprised myself, when I attempted that Ultra in the corner I didn’t think it would hit but it payed off big when it did.
