the only character who you should be having problems applying fwd.mk pressure against is balrog, and he’s a big enough character that cl.fp should hit all the time, even when he’s crouching, and using a meter for ex.tt isn’t a waste at all, it’s part of his mix-up, if they see you in their face with one bar of meter, they’ll think twice about throwing random pokes, but ur right in that point, but remember, this is Abel we are talking about, its supposed to be harder for us to win, but victory tastes sweeter this way. On another note, it actually matters how the move will be used in the future, remember Aegis Reflector? how people thought it was a completely useless move and how Urien was lower tier back when 3s came out? Well i see the same happening with Abel, only not as revolutionary as Aegis, but fwd.mk has alot of potential imo.

All with Abel… and I have JUST pulled off my very first CoD xx FADC -> c. FP -> Falling Sky combo in actual competition. I am happy happy happy happy! Not least because it won me a game against a decent Guile with a fraction of my life left.
Keep the faith Abel fellows! It might not be as easy as Forward Down DownForward Punch but its way more rewarding!

rog isn’t the only one with a 3 frame jab. And I know there are answers, but it’s hella frustrating to get beat with a damn jab after you managed to get in.
f.mk is nice on hit, on block it’s weaksauce. +1 is nothing.

I actually play Abel to beat Zangief rather than my Boxer.

Boxer v Gief is already a bad matchup, but I play it well.
When I lose though, which is mostly to my friend(#1 Gief, usually 1-3 going against the cluster of Sagats in top 5(Ruin, Suhpreme, etc.) and his roommate, who is like the #2 Gief, I have to rely on Abel. lol.
Actually Abel is usually my go-to guy when I start losing, I just play smarter when I know he has limited abilities maybe. As opposed to being reckless with Boxer. It’s sad really, Ruin tells me not to play a shit character(Stick to my Boxer), but when I win, I win. :x
I know I faced some of you guys last night, late night… I just wanted to say sorry I sucked. It was 4 in the morning, I was working on a paper mid fights, and I was drunk as shit! Always fun though!
