So I just got back from TRF Beginner’s Tourney and managed to place 4th w00t. There were only 16 participants though. Won my first match against Ryu, then another Ryu and then lost to a mean Gouki and Gief(for 3rd place)… I made quite a few errors that cost me but it was pretty intense

Congrats hfz69. You seem to have improved a lot. And after seeing the vids of the beginner’s tournament you posted before, I know that the competition is still really tough.

I don’t like playing Abel mirror matches too much, as his biggest strength is also his biggest weakness. There isn’t much to stop the pressure from an opposing Abel. Still it makes for very entertaining games.

wow… that ryu’s pretty terrible…
so far the best abel for me on gfwl has been marksman, pretty much double perfects me everytime I face his abel. (i get like 1 hit in max?, cant handle his pressure game) I think I’ve beaten tktym’s abel before, not sure though.

Daigo’s 2nd kumite with top players (Mago, Iyo, Nuki, Nemo, Shiro).
Went 2-1 against Iyo’s Dhalsim, Nuki’s Chun, Nemo’s Chun, swept 2-0 and a draw against Mago’s Sagat, but got beaten 2-1 by Shiro’s Abel.

Awesomely intense match - no wonder Wong thought Abel could’ve been a good counter against Ryu.
