Ha, Jabrog. I hate when Balrog has Super though. Rolling is dangerous. Focusing is dangerous. If he has life lead w/ Super… x_x It’s like Akuma with Super and you’re in the corner. Ok it’s not that bad, but I don’t like being in that situation.
Im not sure but can you focus backdash to bait that super but since youre backdashing the super wont get full hits = wasted meter? Just wondering.
Though i dont think its that bad, youre kinda exaggerating the severity of the situation imo. You dont need focus to deal with his dash punches anyway, cr.lp is good enough. You can just chill all day and react to any movements with cr.lp. What i used to do was ill frustrate the boxer tryin to get in with my cr.lp, while occasionally build meter with lp fs, then watchout for his ex punches and react either with a throw(can be done on reaction) or mashing cr.lps… not saying its the best strat but ive gotten good results from that plus it trains your reaction skills.

Yeah, that’s me, not Ryan2df. Thanks for posting these. And yeah, that option select works against almost every character. Only char I’ve seen that it doesn’t work on is Chun (of course), but I haven’t bothered to actually test it against the whole cast or anything.
As an alternate to option selecting the sweep, sometimes i’ll option select a forward dash, and then jab TT. The j.HP from that distance makes a very deceptive tick into jab TT, and if they back dash, you forward dash after them and then TT. Only thing is, it’s too slow to actually punish the back dash (with maybe a few rare exceptions? dunno, haven’t tested that either :lol:), so if they back dash -> reversal, or back dash -> jump, it’s not going to work, where the sweep option select is very reliable.

This kid had no idea how to play chun, so it isn’t impressive. Dropped many combos and fucked up my roll mix ups several times.
I even said that within the first 5 seconds of fighting this chun haha
Getting hit by messiahs sucks. :sad: I know in your head you even knew he was going to do it half the time, but it’s hard to stop hitting buttons. One thing that comes to mind is doing a bit better job of anti-airing full screen dive kicks using moves like jump-back fierce or standing MK. Sometimes from further than sweep range he would just jump to the peak, then dive kick on you. You were using standing MK earlier in the match but then stopped using it. I think it’s important to make sure Rufus can’t get this easy of an entry in on you, you have to make him work for it a bit more. You did a pretty good job teching throws overall, though, an area that’s weak in my game.
me vs Dhalsim money match. this was IMO some good street fighter even tho I missed a lot of links… good Sim. This guy drove 15 hours to Edmonton to play and won the 2v2 tournament with a Seth player…

lol yeah not much there. c.fp you can punish, has to be reversal. Same thing with Ryu’s sweep but it is a lot harder to react to
